"Say Goodbye"!

Why? The moment in the song where he changes it from "Now I say goodbye to you" to "I could NEVER say goodbye to you..." ahhhh...so bittersweet...if I weren't a male I might shed a tear here.
Well....I'm a male, too. Okay, easily sentimental...but say goodbye gets my eyes wet evrytime I hear it. And Live?....huh that's not a pretty sight

Although Seeing lindsey play his solo's on Come and ISA, I don't keep it dry either........

Most romantic Macsong? Save me a place.

I don't really see "Say Goodbye" as being romantic. If anything, to me, it's kind of sad and reflective.

I'd say that "Bleed to Love Her" is pretty romantic.

Considering some of the choices here, I would say to your better halves: Be afraid. Be veeeery afraid. Especially Seteca. Love your choices!

SYW is short on romance altogether, but I'd have to pick Steal Your Heart Away as the most romantic and Bleed to Love Her as a second. Say Goodbye! I just don't see it. To me it's more of a coming-to-grips song.

Red face

I have to chime in on this one.

On SYW - I'd have to go with Bleed to Love Her, though Ihave to agree that there just isn't that much romanticism on that album.

The most romantic FM song ever? Well, I always thought Warm Ways totally captured a romantic mood. Mick's drums in the beginning with that sort of rumbly thing kind of set things up, and then Lindsey's guitar is SO picturesque; slow moving, "basking in the afterglo" kind of sound. And of course, the words "you made me a woman tonight" don't hurt, either. My belly flips just hearing this song.

Sentimental Lady is a DEFINITE close second...oooh, chills...

I agree SYW (the CD) is very short on romance. I think that is the case because LB usually is just too deliciously sarcastic a la Come or he comments of people or event a la Murrow, WTWCT, and Miranda. Similarly, Stevie usually writes about ending relationships and the will to go on or she comments on literature a la Running Through the Garden or comments on her life a la Illume or Sweet Girl. Having said that, I still stand by SYW (the song) being one of her most upbeat, happy romantic songs in years.

Lightbulb Interesting choices

As much "romance" as has gone on in this group, there aren't a whole lot of strictly romantic songs from them, IMO. LOL

The most romantic person is Stevie, in a fairy tale sort of way. Danny Kirwan wrote some very romantic, sweet songs too.

Bleed to Love Her is my pick because of the fact that I'm a big believer in giving one's life for another being the utmost show of love. I know that bleeding is not dying, but it goes along with pain and suffering, so close enough. LOL

I see where Seteca is coming from by choosing Come.

Most romantic FM song EVER: Beautiful Child ("I wish that you were mine..." Sigh...)

*nods* that is an EXCELLENT choice, Christy. After seeing that live... wow, that's the one FM song that will make me cry on nearly every listen. It's a beautiful song.

For the most romantic song on 'Say You Will,' I'd have to go with "Bleed To Love Her."
The phrase "exquistely romantic" is a great description of that one.

And admit it... who wouldn't want someone to feel so strongly about us, that they'd be willing to bleed for our love?
That's a pretty intense proclaimation of love.
