Does Stevie ever leave her Microphone Stand?
Is this like a Stevie trademark that the whole show is focused around her and her mic stand and she never ever leaves it? I was just wondering because I think it is kind of cool!

She leaves the microphone stand, but the microphone never does.

She totally leaves the mic stand...though not when singing. In El Paso she was doing her little dancing and stuff and nearly didn't make it back to the mic in time for the next verse (I forgot what song that was during) but it was too cute...she had to like run back to it....and well yeah...she spends a lot of time not at her mic, when not actually singing.

I read somewhere that she picked that up from Janis Joplin.
Anyone?

Well I know she leaves the mic to do her twirls and dance moves, I just mean does she ever take the mic off of it? I was at the concert a few months ago in Atlanta and she was amazing twirling around during the non-vocal part of Stand Back. I just think it is kind of cool how she drags the mic stand around with her like during the Dance Video.

I thought I heard that during the street angel tour she gained a ton of weight. Please tell me that is not what people call fat. Stevie looks as wonderful as ever in that picture.

I think Stevie got used to never being able to take the mic out of the stand because of the square mics she used to use. I don't think those mics were meant to be taken out and held. But now she uses regular mics so she can do it, but she doesn't, well hardly ever...

Hey dissention, is there any way I could convince you to make a SA tour video for me? That was my favorite of Stevie's solo tours. I don't really have much to trade, but would pay for the video, shipping, etc. Send me a private message if so... thanks! |

"gaining weight" and being "fat" are not the same thing
