That was my friend's exact reaction when I told her last year that I was going to see Lindsey. She goes, "Who's she?"
Did you know there is a musician whose name is Lindsay Mac and it's a SHE? She is an indie singer/songwriter who plays the cello as if it were a guitar. Quite unusual (and very good).

But I can't think of her without thinking of Fleetwood Mac ... for obvious reasons! LOL

As for the Lindsey/Stevie name gender confusion, when my dorm mate in college first brought home the White Album, we were really impressed with the new chick guitarist who had joined the band! I specifically remember my dorm mate commenting, "what's with this Stevie guy? All he does is sing a couple of songs." Our misunderstanding wasn't corrected until we saw them in concert! Then I remember we looked at each other and said "oh ... Lindsey is the GUY!"

That sort of thing doesn't happen any more in this internet/Youtube age.

Oh to be a fly on the wall watching "Christine march across the floor" to tell the boys she was "unhappy about their playing."

Oh, and the fact that Stevie got that first tophat in an antique store in Buffalo is just too perfect.

Yes I do love that image. I'm sure Chris was very assertive about the way she wanted the music to sound, or she wouldn't have made it in the business in the first place.

I really wish she'd write her autobiography ... I know, I know, it's just an impossible fantasy and it won't happen. (sigh)

I actually like what Mick was doing on that track... I think it was "over and over" ...

He was jazzing it up and she didn't like it... probably couldn't get her groove on with that beat...

I can't remember too well... I had some tapes of them rehearsing songs... and Mick starts this jazzy intro to Over and Over... and Christine says, "not to f*in fancy"

It was from I think the Tusk Tour rehersals.

They start Over & Over and Christine is singing beautifully then Mick puts in a little extra beat and Christine says "don't get too f*ckin fancy" and then carries on singing as if nothing had happened

Voice like an angel, mouth like a sewer

I've probably got it somewhere I'll dig it put and post it later

I can imagine they all had a pretty extensive vocabulary...
