Post Stuff FM/Stevie/Lindsey/Christine Fans Say

There's stuff girls say, guys say, New Yorkers say, couples say, band kids say, etc
Now its our turn. I'll start:

"If I ever get married, 'Crystal' will be my wedding song"

If I ever get married, Fleetwood Mac songs will be banned. They're bad luck at weddings.

No way! My mom walked down the aisle to Songbird, she and my dad just celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary!

I went to wedding last year and the bride surprised the groom by singing him a song (apparently he'd never heard her sing before). She sang Songbird.

All but one wedding I've been to thus far where they've been played has ended in divorce. The one that hasn't, which was just last year, was karaoke, but I still think that one will last.

But for me, no, I'm not taking a chance.

My husband of 14 years and I DID dance to "Crystal" at our wedding!! It's been good luck for us so far! Funny thing was I really wanted to dance to the BN version, but the DJ (even in 1999) wasn't equipped with a turntable or tape deck. LOL Ah well, good thing I love the white album's version, too! As far as things we fans say, this may not be quite what you're referring to, but even now, 16 years (!!) after The Dance, my husband and I will still find ourselves quoting Lindsey in one of his speeches from the album, "Isn't that weird??"

They did, my dad still says it was the longest song he's ever heard waiting for her to make it down the aisle lol. No matter, I still plan on walking down the aisle to it at mine as well :-)

Stuff FM/Stevie/Lindsey/Christine Fans Say...

...refer to any point of time, years or months are "eras"

The Bob Welch era
the Mirage era
the unleashed era
the Wild Heart era

Always thought it was funny that a 2-year span here at least are called eras!

Stuff Fleetwood Mac fans say when explaining the band to other people:

"Yeah! The guitarist is a guy and his name is Lindsey and his girlfriend name is Stevie. Yeah I know, weird right?" OR "Yeah I know funny, right?" even though it's neither of those things, and it's annoying to explain.

= )

Considering the changes musically and personnel wise that have occurred over the years, it makes sense to divive the different times and albums into sub groups. Now who came up with the idea of different "eras" and why that word was chosen is a mystery to me. pun intended.
