The articles are listed in reverse chronological order, with the most recent at the top.

Thank you David, really helpful.

I've seen these before, of course, but I thought I'd click on your link anyway since it had been a while since I'd been over to that section of the site. Something jumped right out at me. There are articles from the late '60s and one from '71 when Chris had just joined the band; and then there is nothing till '76.

What happened to the "Welch era"? There were no articles, no press, nothing on Christine during that hugely productive and highly volatile five-year period?

I find that hard to believe ... and extremely disappointing. Here was a woman in a rock band, blazing a trail, singing, writing AND playing an instrument (a previously unheard of combination) ... and creating excellent music ... and the rock press didn't even notice!?

Absolutely shocking. To this day Christine just doesn't get the credit for what she accomplished.

Well, I think the Welch era never received the respect it greatly deserved, so there was probably a lack of publicity, all around. And I think that's probably why Bob left the band, too. It just felt like they were spinning their wheels, without really getting anywhere.

In retrospect, the Welch years is my favorite era of FM! Mystery To Me is the best FM album, by leaps and bounds.

"Bob Welch saved Fleetwood Mac" - Mick Fleetwood
Yet the jerk Mick saw to it, that Bob wasn't inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame. The ultimate crime, that ever been committed in FM.
