The first picture I ever saw of Fleetwood Mac, when I opened up my new Greatest Hits album some 15 years ago.

Now given that I didn't know anything about the band, when I opened up the album, I knew nothing of Lindsey Buckingham (and hence my love of Rick and Billy to this day I'm sure) but also I was confused for a little while by Stephen Davis' liner notes "...they remember the days when Rhiannon the Welsh mare-goddess alighted onstage like a dark-winged apparition during Fleetwood Mac shows past". As a result for at least a little while I thought FM had once contained a member called Rhiannon.

Funnily enough I was doing a computer course on the internet at a local college and searched up Fleetwood Mac and discovered the Cyber-Penguin and dicovered there wasn't a Rhiannon (at least not since the days of Pwyll). The rest, as they say, is history.

The liner notes confused me too. I thought Lindsey had died or something when I first read it.
