Default Rumours of Fleetwood Mac with the Ulster Orchestra, Belfast, Jan 22nd

http://www.ulsterorchestra.com/conce....php?event=173

Any Irish Ledgies heading along to this? It's a Saturday night so I'm tempted to make the trip up, especially if I get to meet up with any of you!

I'm heading to it with my mum. The Ulster Orchestra did the same with Flash Harry (Queen tribute act) the last two years and it was great when I saw them. I'm not 100% sure the FM version will work as well because I don't know how much most of FM's work will mesh with an orchestra whereas Queen's music really lends itself to that bombastic style.

yea i am also heading along to this concert and am really happy that rumours chose belfast to play this concert but i suspect its beacuse as im sure you will know they always get a good lively crowd in belfast and have even said in one of their grand opera house shows that its one of their most favourite places to play

i am only 18 years old and am a male but fleetwood mac are my favourite band of all time and i went to see the mac on their two dublin shows on october 24th and 25th but what really annoys me is the last time i was at the rumours concert in the grand opera house last january and got talking to a fe people about the mac i could almost see the disbelief in their faces when i told them how big a fan i am at such a young age which i find really disheartning because people should realise that not all young people like the dribble that is released nowadays like justin bieber and miley cyrus

TAKE CARE AND HOPE YOU TOO HAVE A GREAT TIME AT THE CONCERT

FROM A FELLOW LEDGIE TO ANOTHER

This is tonight. I'll try report back tomorrow about how they meshed the Mac's music with an orchestra - I'm hoping that they do Oh Well pt. II because that could work great.

What an absolutely brilliant concert!!
I took a last minute decision to go down to Belfast last night to see the show. We really enjoyed it. Ended up with great seats. I was quite surprised actually that Ticketbastard were able to give me such great seats the night before the show.

The show opened with Rhiannon then they did several TITN tracks. Seven wonders, Everywhere, Big love (Acoustic guitar intro then original version) They also did Rooms on Fire, and As long as you follow

Then they took a step back shimmied the band around a bit and we had a few fantastic songs from the 60's Green Manalishi, Oh Well Albatross and a Shuffle Blues Style song that I wasnt quite sure of. Cant remember what it was called.

Then we went back to the Rumours Line up and went through most of the Hits and finishing with GYOW, Tusk and DFont Stop.

For the Encore we got songbird and it was really really good.

The two Girls (Stevie and Christine) were absolutely spot on they sounded excellent even better than the real Stevie today and so much energy.

Now, I know I am a Lindsey Fan and Alan Huges Played his heart out. But it simply goes to show what Lindsey can really do.. Alan had the Turner onstage but he didnt have 1/50th of the presence of Lindsey.
In saying that he did very well for GYOW and The Chain but only 2 solos in a 2 1/2 hour Tribute Concert!!!! wheres was the rest.

They only did 3-4 lindsey songs in total and I really wanted to see Come, SHN, Go Insane, NGBA, EOTW, ISA, IKINW, and we got none of them. We also got Nothing from Say you will at all...
They can sing but they cant replace Lindsey.

Over all the whole show was amazing the lighting was great, the belfast orchestra created a fantastic Sound and they worked wonders with Tusk.
I have seen Rumours of Fleetwood Mac twice before but this was the best by a long way.
