in all seriousness (gotta get lindsey pantless out of my head) i might have asked him what preparation he used or what psyched him up right before he went to work on a song or if the ideas just came to him spontaneously. he seems like such a thinker & so methodical that i wonder if he had a ritual of calming himself down before he stepped into his studio to create. or if the ideas for writing came to him when he was driving or in the shower. i agree with bob coburn that his songs are "stunningly beautiful" & even though he said a lot of his inspiration came from letting go of past dreams & of course his family, i would want to know what finally pushed him over the edge to verbalize those inspirations & put them into song form.

i feel the same way. the producer side of him is probably his most complex & diverse & to find out what makes him tick when he's in that mode would be really interesting to watch or even just to be let in on as far as insight. i really do consider him a musical genius & that's not just gushing. i still think there's so much he hasn't let the world see that he's capable of, although uts got pretty damn close. so did tusk but uts is way more evolved. tusk was brilliant but i feel he was still finding his way & tinkering.

i haven't sent any questions to his website but maybe i'll send mine. did you & what were they?

I finally listened to rockline. Just simply gorgeous and stunning. He has such power and strength. He was so eloquent in his answers to the questions and so candid and relaxed. Just a beautiful segment all together. Not Too Late was just so lush and seemed to wash over that whole space they were interviewing in. Bob was just stunned at the end of the song, as if he couldn't believe the beauty of the music he had just heard. I couldn't agree more. Lindsey was in top shape and melting the glass in the studio with his prowess. Just a wonderful segment to hear. Wow.
