They should have played Got a Hold On Me or Love Will Show Us How.

No Big Love...no Say You Love Me...and no Don't Stop...or Songbird!? They definitely shook things up from what I expected!

Yes to the merchandise - CD, vinyl, a sweatshirt, a couple of T shirts and a keychain - very basic

Still, as with all setlists, there are great choices and some disappointments. Got a Hold on Me would have been such a wonderful surprise, and our last opportunity to hear it live. I wonder if Christine just felt it was too slow or something? |

Agreed about Got a Hold on Me. I feel like Chris minimizes her solo stuff and her pre-75 work. If anything, she should have played that one in '87 but it was just sent to the back burner after her solo shows. I would have gotten tickets and flown to a show if they would've yanked out Why or Spare Me a Little tonight! |

not surprised about no Songbird considering Game of Pretend. totally impressed with Chris not doing Don't Stop. would be totally impressed with Linds not doing Big Love but he ruined that by doing Trouble and NGBA. would rather hear BL than those 2 any day!

I have a feeling Lindsey might switch up the acoustic songs at the beginning and do other ones he did during the One Man Show Tour

Oh well. Other than having to bar hop while soaked after the show, it doesn't really matter, in the grand scheme of things.

Okay I am finally back home from the show and I am just still buzzing! (And still soaked to the skin)
The show was fantastic! Both Christine and Lindsey exceeded whatever expectations that I had and really delivered an energetic and wonderful performance. Overall, I am really pleased with the setlist and that they didn't heavily rely on the big hits and played songs that hadn't been played in a long while. As I said before, the new songs really blend well and shine amongst the back catalog songs. Being a fan since I can remember, my mother introduced me EARLY! I grew up with all of their albums and even had a cassette of my own of "Tango" when it came out. I have been a lurker around here for a long time and I will say this - I am a fan of ALL 5. I am a fan of the band as a whole and the individual members and their solo endeavors. The highlights for me were definitely "Wish You Were Here" and "Red Sun". The interactions between Lindsey and Christine were very cute and affectionate and it was really good to see that they have a very natural friendship. With the band as a whole - its always really hard to tell where they are with one another but, this seemed incredibly genuine and sweet. I only have two, very minor things to say that would be regarded negative. First, please for the love of all that is holy - drop "You Make Loving Fun". Stevie's absence is glaring here. It wasn't obvious anywhere else but in this song. Work out the harmonies differently or get rid of it. It was rather embarassing to hear the audience filling in her harmony parts. It was awkward, clunky and strange and someone needs to tell the both of them to either fix it or chuck it. Second, the use of backing tracks and vocals was bizarre in this context. They didn't have backup singers per se but, they're needed in this space of filling in the Fleetwood Mac wall of sound. Great show that I would encourage everyone to get out and see. |
