Default Everybody Finds Out

EBFO has always been one of my favorite tracks from SYW. I always thought it would have been a good fit on Tango. After playing Tango a lot after getting the deluxe set.......confirmed again this would have been one heck of a rocker for Stevie on TITN.

This would have been perfect on TITN. I like this song a lot.

The song is amazing. If you search you will find a long thread about this song. Its so explosive and builds and builds. It should have been the single from Say You Will.

On Tango? NO WAY! Its perfect so why mess with a perfect song. Lindsey would have added computer beats and over produced it to death. The Tango productions would have killed the song.

Missing my point my friend. It would have fit on Tango as is. IMO.

If you close your eyes and listen I could go between Caroline and TINTN

I got your point but it makes no sense because it was recorded way after the 80's synth pop. Lets put Sleeping Angel and Running Through the Garden on Tango too.
You could say that about any song then.

As it sounds on SYW--yes. It would have been an ideal fit for Tango.

EFO sounds like a more attractive cousin than I Can't Wait (also a collaboration with Rick Knowles). I don't think Stevie's voice could have handled it in 1987, but damn, she knocks it out of the park in 2003.

For what it's worth, I think the version of Planets from TISL would also have sounded cool on Tango.

I hear this song every once in a while and I think it would be a heck of a rocker for her NOW. Especially the climax of the song is so intense.. Would love to hear it live!

I agree. It would be a great addition to a tour setlist. A nice surprise as well. I think they should do this and Thrown Down on an upcoming tour.

Love this song...it's my favorite off SYW! They absolutely should have worked it out for the stage in 2003/04 (believe there's footage of them rehearsing it on Destiny Rules).

I would love to know this too. Also what are everyone's thoughts on what it is about?

I think she said this was inspired by the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal. So I'd guess it was written around then or shortly after and maybe tried for TISL but ultimately ended up on SYW.

All of Stevie's clandestine relationships....

"she gets on a midnight plane, she's done it a thousand times" reminds me of her stories of the Lear jets Henley would send to pick her up (the little cranberry colored jet...etc. She has in fact done it a thousand times )

"When love starts out in the darkness..." Again, relationships kept secret.... Mick, Dallas Taylor, Tom, etc etc...

"she spends every day, waiting for the day, when everybody finds out" all those secret affairs that won't make people (wives, girlfriends, whoever) happy.

you get the idea.
