Jean Cocteau (BATB): Da Vinci Code
Has obsession set in?
So I've finally gotten around to reading The Da Vinci Code. Certain references in the book are making Stevie pop into my head. I'm wondering how many of these references are true, whether Stevie knew about any of them and whether they influenced any of her songs. There's a part that talks about Jean Cocteau being the Grand Master of The Priory of Sion which means he knew the location of the Holy Grail and what the Holy Grail really is. The 5 petal rose is the symbol of The Priory and there is meaning behind it. Was Cocteau really a GM? If so, did Stevie know that much about Cocteau? Did she know about The Priory of Sion and what their symbolism for the rose meant (maybe this is where her "mystique" comes from.) Is that why there are roses on her album artwork. Or am I thinking too much? LOL!!! Ask Stevie: "Stevie, have you read The Da Vinci Code? If so, what do you think of it and how, if at all, has it influenced your music?" Me thinkist Stevie infiltrates my thoughts too much... Laura |
