Default Say You Love Me

The version of Say You Love Me on Very Best is the same one as is on my cd of the white album, however, the version on The Chain is different yet it is not labeled as anything special (ie, alt version, single version, etc). Does anyone know if maybe the version on The Chain IS the single version. It is about 13 seconds shorter than the album version.

Hi John!

Yep, even though it's not labeled as such, that's the single version of "Say You Love Me," on 'The Chain.'

Odd they didn't include that one on the new compilation as well.

Thanks Brian,

It seems like there are several mis-labels on The Chain (the faulty description of Tusk comes to mind). I've been trying to organize all my FM music, and things like this have been driving me nuts.

Here's another question I have for the entire group. Does anyone have an old 45 of Go You Own Way with which they can compare the two versions of Silver Springs (on The Chain and on Very Best) to see which one is the ACTUAL B-side?

Thanks again,
John

Me again, John!

The version of "Silver Springs" on 'The Chain,' is the same one released on the b-side of "Go Your Own Way" (and on one of those Back-To Back Hits re-issues, with "Don't Stop").

And I agree... the liner notes for 'The Chain,' left a LOT to be desired!

i actualy have the very rare 12"promo version of gyow
wich has the MONO versions of gyow and ss on one side
and the stereo versions of both on the other side

(ss clocks inn on 4.33 on the promo)

btw the text on the white cover reads :

"warner bros records and fleetwood mac presents this special pressing of the new fleetwood mac single A. go your own way B.silver springs"

at the bottom is says "mono (on the other side identical exept for the word stereo instead of mono) 45 rpm promotion copy not for sale pro 652" (with the warner bros logo next to it )

the record itself has a black and white picture of the group on the label along with title's and credit and the text also mentioned above.

the cover has a hole in the middle so you can see the label with picture trough it.

I must say this is on of my most precious collectors item
(along with my E.T photograph signed by steven spielberg himself ,
and the madonna sex book stil in original seal )

Very cool guys. Thanks for the replies. I was waiting for the Ledge board to come back up to see if there was any reply to my question. Thanks for not letting me down.

Talking

I have a Japaneese 45 of Go Your Own Way/Silver Springs....one of my all time favorite collectibles.....I dont know how rare it is, but I consider it rare until someone proves me it isn't..lol

BTW, I have on one of my demo cds, the FULL version of Silver Springs, which has 3 of her screams at the end...IT IS EXCELLENT! When I get home I'll post under what demo collection it is under.....I'm sure you can find it on some trade pages, if anyone is interested they can email me and we can set up a trade.....
