Default Are there 600 fan club members competing for NJ/NY

area shows? I get the strange feeling that when Meadowlands/Atlantic City shows go up for pre-sale next week I am going to have my worse nightmare come alive - that there are 5000 fan club members trying to grab the 600 seat alotments. Any predictions on how many fan club members are out there lurking?

You know, I was thinking about this earlier. Wouldn't it make sense for ticket brokers, scalpers, etc., to pay the $60 to join the FM fan club many times and get four ticket for wach membership. I mean they do not ask at the time you join the fan club if you are already a member. Does anyone know more about this potential and quite horrific problem

Maybe Ticketmaster has some sort of mechanism to catch this. For example, no more than four tickets can be charged to the same credit card or be delivered to the same physical address. I hope so. Granted, even these measures could be circumvented, but I hope they at least have something!

if I remember right, The fanclub has a system in place to track ISP's of members to make sure that someone cannot join multiple times to make multiple purchases of tickets (ie-Scalpers protraying themselves as fans.). Hopefully it's a somewhat reliable system.

Hope they do not track ISPs! I may be at work where I joined the fanclub from, but I may be home using my Netzero account. I highly doubt they have that level of sophistication that they are capable of checking which ISP you are currently using to connect to the internet. I am gaining confidence that fanclub presales is going to be a disaster. There are 600 tickets per show and you can get 4 tickets per show so 600/4 is only 150 fan club members that will be able to get these tickets per show. Oh well

they said that ticketmaster has a system to track ISP's and billing information, I mistyped what I meant to originally state...From the information I've read recently about the fan club presales, this system should prevent scalpers from accessing and buying up blocks of tickets. Hopefully they are right for you members of the fanclub...

As for tracking ISP's, I can do that for anyone who basically enter's my website...There is equipment & websites available that provide that information. Brian J.

Arrow Ticketmaster is definately tracking something....

We had 2 (home networked) computers both with about 3 windows open last Saturday trying for Bruce tickets (besides the 3 phone lines as well - LOL). Everytime we got through via the internet as put in the "queue", we got errors. We ended up closing everything except for one browser window on one computer, and received no errors, and the purchase went flawlessly. My husband thinks they are tracking IP addresses and have a program in place to prevent numerous connections from the same IP address.

I will be incredibly pissed off should this fan club presale get f*cked up!

Alot of the fan-club members here in the OKC area WERE feeling that way, But they should be relieved by the message that the GM of the Ford Center just sent out to a fan-club member I know:

"We have just been informed there will be a fan club pre sale tickets. I do not know exact date will inform you as soon as I find out".

Now that is a miracle to me for the Ford Center to finally do that...lol...I wonder what miracle will happen next, Say my cats start talking in Arabic?

I know, I know! Just venting!

Hopefully we will find this was worth it after all. I'm no longer satisfied to sit in the nosebleeds - I'm an old broad and want to get the GOOD seats before I die!
