I don't see the $1000+ price value given they look like many other sneakers. Guess you feel better psychologically wearing a high fashion brand, even if no one else can tell.

I think the legging things are to trick the eye to look sorta like she's wearing her boots... from a distance.

Gawd I hate those skirts, have ever since she began wearing them. Make her look far bigger than she is.... and dumpy.

I agree those two verses in Edge of Seventeen probably her very best writing in her body of solo work, nothing compares or comes close. Live however, I've always been a bit of a detractor on how well she does the song justice. Sure, the amazing instrumental and driving rhythm makes for a great show, but even back to the Bella Donna tour, dropping the "wing" portion to a lower key sucks the life out of the song, in the same vein as "it's only right and me" in Dreams. I have always found this frustrating even going back in my 47 year fan journey, while understanding she can't push her voice there night after night, it just does not work.

I agree about the Bo peep skirt…she is, even though she is heavier these days, still quite a petite lady.
And that particular skirt does nothing for her.
Together, the bo peep skirt, ringlets and hiking gaiters…she looks a blooming fright..

I heard Edge of 17 at the gym this morning and this thread popped into my head. Those epic verses removed is unforgiveable and messing with sacred land. Even in her wild cocaine days and heavily medicated tranquillizer phase she pretty much never forgot a word or phrase. Of course nothing will live up to her 1981 live version. However, this song is so Stevie and defines her as a solo artist. She has her reasons for doing what she does but like I said earlier, imagine the backlash Led Zeppelin would get removing 2 verses from Stairway to Heaven. Yet I feel like the isolated freak that notices it? Just really odd. Its even odder how the song is extended with an extended musical track and her Prince nonsense of doves crying.
Even weirder is when I saw her on the 24K Gold tour. She added this completely new verse to Gold Dust Woman. Not removing words or a verse. It was another whole new verse. Yet she removes her most epic lines from her most epic song.
