WHO are each of the songs about. She's said 1/2 the songs are about Lindsey but all I hear on this album is Mick Mick Mick blah blah blah discuss 01. Starshine ?????????? 02. If You Were My Love a knight and a maiden? i don't even know what is going on here 03. Mabel Normand is about Mabel Normand obviously 04. Twisted Lindsey ... and the couple in the movie whose names I forget (Helen Hunt/Bill Paxton) 05. 24 Karat Gold Mick 06. Belle Fleur ?????? 07. All The Beautiful Worlds ?????????? 08. Lady Stevie and Lindsey 09. I Don't Care ????????????? 10. Watch Chain Mick 11. Hard Advice imma say Lindsey as per my other post until told otherwise 12. Carousel not relevant 13. Blue Water i don't buy this Goldfish and the Ladybug nonsense it's about S&L 14. Cathouse Blues not about hooker cats 15. The Dealer ?????? 16. Hard Advice is about the lecture Tom Petty gave to her mid-nineties.

Right, because she says we've been together so long and Mick hadn't been with Sara that long at that point.
But really I think the songs are about a mix of a lot of different people and it would be impossible to pull each of them out, especially since we only knew Mick, Lindsey and Joe. We don't know everyone else that is important to her. We know Don, but I don't think she cared about him that much, aside from the pregnancy. Michele |

Ah you're correct, I'm sorry, I meant Jenny.

I'd just say that "Belle Fleur" is about "no man and every man"! LOL! It's just about the idea that she can't hold a relationship with anyone because she's such a famous rock star ~ a theme she likes the write about A LOT! "Imperial Hotel" and "Rock A Bye Baby" being more examples.
