Most def. But, she must be seen in comparison to CM and La Nicks and IMO she is the third there, though I LOVED Bekka's voice.

I agree it was a turn off. But, I thought her rendition of Beautiful Child was hainting nonetheless and the two together on SG was one of the prettiest things I have ever seen or heard. In the end, I think SYW will go soon because of that and, more, importantly, because CM was not on that tour and I do not care if they had 40 backing musicians, her absence was glaring to me, though for what it was, it was a good show.

Thanks for sharing, David; I totally agree. And I am not into personal attacks of any current or past FM members either. And in that spirit, I am sure Bekka Bramlett is a wonderful, caring person who is lots of fun to be around as well. And I don't fault her for joining FM; I would have done the same thing if I had the chance, regardless of whether I had any talent or not. But to my ears, I find her voice to be about as pleasant as nails on a chalkboard. And when that same voice is used to thrash Stevie's songs on tour... that's just not acceptable.

For what it was.......I've not watched my SYW LIB TWICE yet. No Christine. No high notes. TOOOO many musicians. Same old in between song banter.
ZZZzzzzzzz.....

I watched it once, on PBS. I couldn't figure out the plot.

Well, Dave Mason IS in the Hall of Fame (as a member of Traffic), and Bekka is one of the more sought after vocalists for many artists. Even Lindsey thought the incarnation had potential, so it wasn't that bad of an idea. FWIW, the "Time" tours (actually, pre-"Time" tours, to be more accurate, since they never toured behind the album) had the fewest musicians of any post-Mirage tour. And, the tickets were affordable!

The first time I saw Stevie live was in 1990. I was very disappointed in her performance. She looked and sounded like she was going to fall asleep, and she looked like hell. (We know why now, but at the time it was pretty off-putting, and I wasn't all that disappointed that she left.) So when Bekka joined, I felt she added new energy to the set. The only Stevie song that I ever saw her do was "Gold Dust Woman," and I guess my attitude is that if Hole can do the song, why not Bekka? Plus, I actually liked the new arrangement. It was SOOO refreshing, after the 87-90 versions. Actually, I would much rather she and Billy do a song like "Angel" or "I Don't Want To Know," but I would have been MORE offended if they didn't do ANY Stevie songs. It would be like she was never in the band.

Default Round 1: Time Tour

I personally saw this tour, and all I can say it is by far the worst tour on the list.
