Haven't they waited THREE YEARS for her? And she isn't interested.

Longtime devotees of the rock band Fleetwood Mac might be forgiven for letting out a gleeful yelp when registering the news that singer-keyboardist Christine McVie shared with The Times in December while sitting next to her band mate, guitarist, singer and producer Lindsey Buckingham. “I've been sending Lindsey demos in their very raw form,” she says, sitting in the Village Studio’s storied Studio D in West Los Angeles, “and he's been doing his Lindsey magic on them, which I love.” The product of that magic is tentatively scheduled to come out in May, and the two are at the Village to work on vocals. Working with them are two familiar names: Mick Fleetwood, whose towering drum kit is in the next room, and bassist John McVie. The album coming out of these sessions, however, won’t bear the Fleetwood Mac imprimatur. Rather, the release with the working title “Buckingham McVie” will arrive as the first full-length collaboration between the pair. “ . . . Not that question... the question was:

quoting homer

Haven't they waited THREE YEARS for her? And she isn't interested.

That was the birth of my original, "unpopular opinion". It's all very strange and creepy, in my opinion.

Strangely, I've always like this song. I love the arrangement... I get a lot of flak for liking it.

Here's an unpopular opinion:

I am not at all excited about the Tango reissue and have very little interest in hearing outtakes and alt-versions of an album that has not worn well with me through the years. Notwithstanding "Little Lies," "Everywhere," and "Big Love," nothing on the album seems essential--or even substantial. "Isn't It Midnight" comes close but, oddly, the live version from the otherwise bloated and washed-out "Shaking the Cage" concert video is far superior and more interesting, in part because Christine's live voice on it sounds warm and seductive, rather than the mucked-up pitch-altered vocal from the album.

Not a Tango fan. Decades of denial have crumbled and I can now admit what I've always felt: the album is a disappointment.

Bring on Buckingham-McVie!

Apart from the love for Little Lies, I totally agree. For me it is one of the weakest albums in Macs history. I'm not going to buy the reissue. And those 12" versions are a total disaster to my ears. An insult to the art of extended danceversions.

I feel the same. The band has always been ashamed of Mirage, but Mirage is far superior to that computerized sounding dreck that is Tango. Tango is lamebo.

I'm going to be excited when we finally get to the reissue of Say You Will.
