8mm footage of FM @ Sunday Break II Sept 5th 1976
Not the greatest quality but rare and pretty awesome.
From 15:45 to 19:18

England Dan and John Ford Coley @ 11:00!!
Thanks for happening on this, Sanne, and alerting us. Treasures still pop up! I was on Flickr or Picasa the other day, and found photos of the 1977 Madison Square Garden concerts!

I'm happy to have this but so, so sad they chopped up my Rhiannon.

wow, thanks for posting. one of these kids, now in their 50's, probably found the film up in the attic and forgot they had it!
funny...i was only 6 when this was shot but you really realize how different things are today compared to back then...no cell phones to capture video, no threat of the footage showing up on youtube the next day. you were just there for the moment. anyone notice how close Stevie and Lindsey's mics were set up? i can also make out Lindsey's blue kimono. |

Thanks Sanne for sharing that precious, "Blast from the past" segment!
Ooooooo it brought back memories of my younger free spirited days! How I miss all those outdoor festivals and shed concerts! Loved the Rhiannon segment, but....didn't love the chop job! *sighs* To quote Stevie, "Oh well!" @ Joe.....yep, many of us are in our late 50's and early 60's now. Those were the days! It was a rare thing to take videos back in the day, they were taken w/ those big bulky antique recorders which we all thought were cool as heck! Never did we dream they'd end up out there for the world to see!

I wish they had the full ending to Rhiannon. Love the Over My Head. Love it when Stevie sings the chorus with Christine. That sounded amazing.

The bits w/ the friends hanging out was like watching outtakes from "Dazed and Confused." I'm surprised the audio is so good - it's a shame Rhiannon cut off before the exorcism part...

Thanks for sharing.I see they got away of filming parts of the concert. Also looks like the kids had a blast at the show. They remind me back when I was young in highschool the same era. This was about 8 to 10 years before the camcorders hit the streets. My dad had an 8mm film camera .I can imagine the costs of developing .Plus the time editing it together. .compared to todays digital world of flash memory camcorders with a laptop.the editing will be done in minutes with a click on a mouse.I agree about Rhiannon getting cut.The camera man probably runout of film in the middle of the song.I''m glad he got another roll running to catch alittle more.300ft or 600ft rolls don't give you much record time those days.

The guitar on Rhiannon was blistering, too. Amazing. Stevie sounded great on that, as well. |

Wow this footage is really a treasure and wouldn't that be great if it were included in an official documentary? It sure depicts life as it was in '76 and the way friends interacted with one another, no texting, no facebook, all real interaction and fun. Oh, the music? This is what made the Mac a great band, the wonderful performances, great vocals and lots of fun.
