Most of the songs you still hear today except that Kenny Rogers song and that Paul McCartney song Take It Away. Its also sad to see how many people are not around. I believe the old singer of Survivor who sang Eye of the Tiger passed away years ago and so did David Crosby, Donna Summer, and Kenny Rogers. Speaking of Donna Summer, I dont recall that song that is on the chart. I looked it up on youtube and swear I never heard it before.
When driving to Joplin, MO from Cleveland, OH: Heard Hold Me, Jack and Diane, Eye in the Sye and Eye in the Sky a million times. Great trip. (I actually had a tape recorder and everyone was sleeping and my dad was driving, so I recorded a bunch of songs.)

Sept 5 1982 After 12 weeks, it still at #4. Hold Me did lose it's bullet, however.

So what was the main reason that Hold Me bombed in the UK? You'd think it'd at least go Top 40 but it didn't chart. Did it get any airplay in the UK?

It's weird. The Hold Me Wikipedia page includes Australia, Belgium, Canada, Nertherlands, New Zealand, US and West Germany, but not UK.

However it does show a UK 1989 chart where it reaches position #94, and looking the source page, it is from the GH album.

The Brits just wanted to hear "Oh Diane" 24/7. "Gypsy" also performed rather poorly in the UK, peaking at #46. It's crazy that "Can't Go Back" performed better in the UK than "Hold Me".

The Brits also loved Stevie's OSOTM. I think her album peaked at #3 there. They also loved BTM.
They are insane over there I tell you.
By the way, can you tell I am 25% bloody insane?

Hold Me didn't get past #4, and without a bullet falls to #7 on the charts. I'm Casey Kasem and Here's Christine McVie with Hold Me.

If I could ask for a long distance dedication to Casey, it would be in 1997 and the song would be Silver Springs (though not sure if during that year he still had that segment). I kind of lived that SS story.

Look at Hold Me hanging on for dear life, but still in the top 10. On the charts almost 4 months. That's pretty impressive

Hold Me Fell pretty fast after camping out in the top 10 for nearly 4 months. But, looks who's climbing the ladder after 4 weeks(almost a month on the chart) I think Gypsy made it to #11.

Wow, that's a massive fall for "Hold Me". "Gypsy" ended up reaching #12, which is surprisingly low. Granted, it held that spot for three consecutive weeks. Looking at what ranked above it, there were some heavy hitters: "Jack and Diane", "Who Can it Be Now", and "Up Where We Belong" traded spots at the summit, "I Keep Forgetting" held strong in the top five for several weeks, and "Eye of the Sky" by The Alan Parsons Project also occupied the region.

I think after 4 months, the radio stations and MTV were tired of playing Hold Me. They played the s*** out of it.

Love Eye in the Sky and I Keep Forgetting.

I used to be obsessed with Eye in the Sky.

Yes and my obsession included to listen with the previous instrumental piece, Sirius.

Incidentally, Elmer Gantry from the fake Fleetwood Mac sang a song on the Eye In The Sky album.
