Default Heard FRIEND Today!

I was driving home from school today around 2:00 today and was listening to The River 105.9 in Connecticut and to my surprise - Friend by Christine came on the radio!

I was totally flipping out - This is one of my favorites by Chris ever!

I've heard Friend, You Are, and Forgiveness on the radio, but not since sometime in '04 or '05...

Wouldn't Friend have sounded great on Say You Will?

Actually it sounds more like Fleetwood Mac than Fleetwood Mac do

I think it's my favourite on ITM.

It's one of my favourites too. Have you ever heard the acoustic version? It's amazing.

When my brother listened to a ITM he asked me if Lindsey Mick and John were on there... I said, "no". He said, "wow she sounds like FM more than they do"

It's in her blood...

I used to intern for The River 105.9! That's fun that something about that station is redeemable! It was much more awesome before it became a ClearChannel station.

Yes, Dan's Calumny is one of the Top 5 Christine songs ever, in my book.

Ialso like Northern Star a great deal. It's my second favorite on the album.

I don't think Dan is much of a producer or a guitarist, but he's got fierce songwriting skills, based on those 2. Calumny is the most beautiful, but I think Northern Star would be fantastic live, especially the piano at the close.

These Calumny lyrics are my favorite: Torn, the petals drop. He picks them off one by one. Testing out our love, by proving that it's gone.

Quite amazing.

Michele

If I were ever asked to construct an argument that Christine is a great singer I would use "Calumny" as an example. Her vocal is so restrained, yet so emotional. Her vocal on this song is sublime.
