Default Stevie Nicks Grammy Museum Appearance October 2011

I was messing around on the Grammy Museum website and discovered that they have archived all of their past performances and interviews of artists they have had there. This includes Stevie! This means that you can go to the archive section of the museum and sit and watch her (and others) performance and interview!

I was fortunate enough to attend this in person, but my wife was unable to go. So we plan on cruising up to LA on Sunday (about 2.5 hour drive for us in San Diego) so she can see it. She's super excited and I can't wait.

I'll let you guys know how it goes. In the meantime, feel free to check it out yourselves if you're within driving distance.

Jamie

That is really cool!!! Thanks so much for sharing with us. I've wanted to go to the Grammy Museum but now have a reason to go. My husband likes going to the LA Auto Show that's held in December each year (in case any of you from out of town want an extra incentive to go and/or entice friends/family). Since it's in the same area as the Grammy Museum, we can go to both!!

Coming home from the Grammy Museum. We had a great time! The entire interview with Q&A was there for watching, as well as the performance of the 4 songs she did that night. (Landslide, FWIW, Rhiannon and Moonlight). I was able to see Stevie answering my question for her, as well as her happy reactions during for FWIW to me and Beccas pantomiming along with her. I was reliving it in all it's glory, and Kim got to see how cool it was.

I highly recommend you guys check it out if you can. Totally worth it.

Jamie

I have audio of my question to Stevie and of FWIW from the Grammy Museum appearance.
I now have video of the above. I need to figure put a way to put them together so i can have cohesive video with audio. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do that?

If you have any video editing software in your computer Mac or Windows you can merge the audio and the video together .You can edit out the video shots and and audio that you dont want to use and produce a nice video.

Let me know what software you have on your computer .Let me know if you need a hand and I can walk you through it..

after reading your advice I looked into it and I am using Windows Movie Maker. I was able to sync my question/answer video which is currently saving to my computer. After that I will do the song that I have. Thanks so much Skip for your advice.

Currently weighing if its a "bad thing" or not to put it on youtube along with the song. Don't want to be a naughty fan.

Wow. No Problem. Thats great.I wasn't sure you have a Mac or Windows Op system.
I know you used some kind of editor for your funny Star Trek clips.

Among the other video/audio editing software progs .I have Windows Movie Maker and its great for simple edits.

Youtube probably will dump your vid if it has music in it.

I cant wait and see it.

Here are the 2 videos I have from the Grammy Museum. I was able to sync the audio and video pretty successfully. Excuse the shakiness in the beginning of both videos - I was a little nervous about recording there.

My question to Stevie was how she determines the speed or tempo of her songs.

And here's her performance of "For What it's Worth". I had to get video of this particular song because my friend Becca and I were pantomiming along with her, which she saw and got a kick out of. Watch the video and you'll see her smiling - that's at us!

Wow .Thanks Jamie..They came out great.

That was a good question about the tempo .

It looks like she was relaxed and had a ball there and she was enjoying you two that were having fun with her.
