This is the fifth poll for the Fleetwood Mac Song Contest (1970-1974), which is the second batch of songs from Bare Trees. I changed the post title to "Eliminations" to make things clearer ***Reminder that you will vote for which songs should not be included in the definitive list of songs for this era.*** Poll closes in 4 days. I'm shocked at all the votes for Danny's Chant. It's one of my favorites.

Bare Trees is on of my favorite albums from the Christine/Welch era. Spare Me a Little and Dust are must haves. Trinity is nice but it was an outtake for one reason or another. Not a fan of songs with incoherent lyrics and such i.e. Danny's Chant. Thoughts on a Grey Day is a waste of record/disc space.
As a matter of fact, couldn't Trinity been on instead of Thoughts? I mean it would have given Danny like 6 songs but still. |

I voted for Danny's Chant. I usually skip it.
I'll cut anyone who wants to cut Dust. |

Trinity?? Danny's Chant is better, and Dust too!!
Dust is different, I think is the way Danny said "goodbye" before being fired... Regards! Last edited by moon; 11-11-2013 at 07:30 PM.. |

Danny's chant intrigues me. I like the blend of the three voices as they chant. And the guitar work is fierce yet contained.
But why the band never chose Trinity for inclusion is beyond me. The song ranks with their best of any era. Dust, however, is the jewel of the entire record. Stunning. |

Dust is one of my favorite tracks as well, and I love Trinity!
With at least 50% of the votes, Danny's Chant and Thoughts on a Grey Day have been eliminated.
