Stevie said at the show at MGM Vegas that we'll see them in 2014 so I think they'll perform at MGM again. The casino most likely pays them a bundle to play there. 3 shows at MGM in 2013!

Will the tour be: "Live 2014"?
^ Hopefully they will have something more creative than that this time out. Perhaps the name of the proposed new album, track off a new EP or if Chris does tour.,?"The other Mac is Back" joking but all in all I can't wait to to see the 5 of them live on stage together again. Really HOPING they will consider performing 'Think About Me", just love that song, could be a good surprise opener. A few more tracks from Tango and Mirage would be great too.

My theory is this...I think we will see the Mac do a summer US tour ...maybe 30 dates with Christine. Probably happening in May-July time frame. They will be working on demos together while touring and they will take a brief break and then hit the studio in the fall. Spring of 2015 they will release a full album celebrating the 40 year anniversary of the release of "Fleetwood Mac". They will then embark on a huge world tour (and maybe hint it might be the last one with the lineup). They will release a dvd and tour the rest of 2015. Then they will all take a break with Stevie/Lindsey looking at possible solo projects in 2016. (After all 2016 will be the 35 year anniversary of Bella Donna).

Fleetwood Mac touring 3 straight years in a row makes no sense to me. After all, Stevie thinks the band should go away for 3 years after every tour. It just seems like an odd way of doing things to tour 3 straight years like this.

That being said, your predictions will probably end up being 100% correct. They band will probably want to play some dates together this summer to dip Christine's toes back into the water, and get everyone used to being a 5 piece band again. Then we know they'll want to tour after they release an album. Which hopefully will be sooner than later.

Part of me will be a little dissapointed if she rejoins the band. I'll explain why:

I really had to move heaven and earth to see the Mac back in September 2013.
Believe me, getting the tickets was a nightmare and I only managed it through sheer luck. I promised myself I'd never put myself through that stress again.

When she joined them onstage my friend Nick said to me "It may have been one song only, but we just saw the CLASSIC line up of Fleetwood Mac old man!"
He then went on to say that "What we saw there was history. No one will ever top this. We probably never have to see another live gig again after witnessing that." I agreed with him that we could never, ever top that evening.

When I got in and my wife asked me if I had a good time I said "I probably never need to see another live gig again in my life. That was IT".

I felt I had really accomplished something by getting those seats.

If she rejoins them permanently and they do a massive tour on the back of it... I think you can see where I'm going with this.

(although I have since changed my mind on the "I'm never seeing a live gig again" thing. I've put my name down for Foo Fighters if they do the UK in 2014 and just told a mate "Get me a ticket to that!" and I intend to see Toto do the UK in 2015).

yeah i can understand that. your unique once-in-a-lifetime experience won't be that unique anymore.

like when LB did Rock Away Blind live at his Q&A in NYC for the first time ever, and right after receiving standing O said "i will never do that song again". and people who were there felt that we got something really special. although, once he started adding the song on request during his subsequent tour, i can't say i ever regretted it. it was still amazing to hear it a few more times, even if we weren't that unique anymore.

similarly with Walk A Thin Line. neither LB or FM performed it live, ever. Mick even mentioned it to me during one of his m&gs. i happily let him know how wrong he was - that LB performed a verse of WATL on our request (or more accurately insistent badgering ) at his solo show in Chicago, for a special occasion. Mick seemed shocked, he stopped me, put his hand on my shoulder, and looked at me like "who are you and why would he do that?". a friend of mine said after that she is kinda happy FM didn't have it as a part of the setlist this year, because what we got is even more special, and completely unique experience that never happened before or after. i can see that reasoning, but i still want the whole song, added as a regular part of the setlist, either FM or solo.

Are you aware or did Mick remember that George Hawkins performed WATL in Mick Fleetwood's Zoo band back in nineteen eighty something?

i don't know whether he remembers. he was telling me Lindsey or FM never did it live. and was also telling me how much he loves the song and how he recorded it with the Zoo. (which i knew of course.)

i actually didn't like Zoo version much, or the regular Tusk version. i like the speedier version on the second / outtake Tusk disc. but what i really love is the Deerhunter version. and would LOVE to see what Lindsey could do with it live.

I was also at the O2 and saw the five of them, and felt precisely as you did.

I didn't think Christine would make any noises about rejoining permanently and so thought, well, if I never see anything again, that has made my dream come true.

I seriously doubt I'll ever see Fleetwood Mac again. Not that they weren't awesome live - but anytime you try and recreate a unique experience it never matches. That was a once in a lifetime thing. Plus, the stress of making it happen for me was almost too much to bear.

When I finally secured tickets I collapsed in a heap almost close to tears.
I've seen them, I made it happen and I don't want to get greedy or push my luck.

If McVie rejoins them permanently - there is a strong possibility I may... oh I don't know. See how I feel if/when it happens.

Well I need Christine to re-join them at least once more at the 02. I was there on the 24th - yes I know...the wrong date. I'm sure she'll be back to perform some more with them. And yes getting a good ticket might be stressful, but I'm pretty determined

Here's a comment from someone commenting on the latest news on the website: Fleetwood Mac News:

this interview could been done a while ago if not then she is not reveiling everything she knows. i got some inside stuff recently from a band member and saw that person at one of the casinos in vegas just about 2 weeks ago. All I am going to say is it will all come out real soon. it will make lots of fleetwood mac fans. very excited about 2014 and more!!! stay posted on this site.

You know what? Sod it. I might try my luck with the tickets again. You never know. Not expecting much, but I'm going to go for it. In 2013 the tour sold out in seconds. I only got a look in cause they announced an extra date due to overwhelming ticket demands. If I can get lucky then I can get lucky again. Who knows?
