Danny Kirwan Rick Vito Walter Egan Mike Campbell Waddy Wachtel Bob Welch And, if they get into some old '50's R&R roots grooves: Jeremy Spencer Billy Burnette

For anyone who loves the (way too short!) blues jam at the end of the Mirage-era Don't Stop, they might agree that Clapton would be a pretty good match. At least I think.

I'd like to see LB jam with Bela Fleck. Another good choice would be Mark Knofler.

I would also give anything to see him playing with Hank Marvin, my original idol and inspiration. I thought it was very cool that Lindsey chose to almost perfectly replicate Hank's signature "Echorec" guitar tone for "Oh Daddy" on the Dance tour. |

I've really enjoyed Santana's resurgence, he always seems to be having a good time, so he might be a good choice...

Santana's resurgence is good and bad. "Supernatural" sold more records than almost all of his records of the last 25 years combined and it gave him a bigger (and younger) audience. In that sense its good. But too many times, Santana seems like a sideman for many of today's artists and most younger people today do not know how important of an artist Carlos Santana is.
Another good choice for a jam would be Peter Green. |

It is true that Santana seems like a sideman, but it is mainly because today's music is focusing on the image of the singer and not the meaning or style of the music. Which is why having him and Lindsey jam would be one of the best things to see if it were to happen.
Thought of another good pairing...BB King |

I just can't see Lindsey jamming with any blues players. He's even gone on record to say that "blues bores me". (which pissed me off and lost him alot of respect in MY eyes when I originally read that)
I think it "bores" him cuz he doesn't play the blues very well at all.

I don't think that it's because he can't play it well...it's that blues has a very set style. Most blues songs follow one of four patterns and there are almost no variations from that handfull of patterns. Lindsey likes to try different things and dislikes going back to things that he's done before. He can do blues style music (listen to the solo on the studio version of Say That You Love Me) Plus BB King has broken out of the blues mould enough times that I feel he would be a great pairing.
