I'm actually not impressed with LB's playing. He doesn't really sparkle like he does on guitar. He plays notes.

He doesn't have the quirky tendency and ability to play through the arrangement like Christine. That's not easy. Especially, considering how busy FM can be.

He plays well. Not with distinction, but very competently--which is no small task. He can play bass fairly well, too. His drumming leaves, in Christine's words, "something to be desired."
