I wonder if Fleetwood Mac would have faded away as quickly
as Alanis if there would have been an MTV or VH1 back in '77?

She was on all the time. Couldn't turn on the TV without seeing
her videos. I think people got tired of her.

I've been listening to Andrew Bird a lot, and Patrick Wolf. Andrew I heard on NPR, and Patrick I discovered in Budapest when I visited in spring. Both have *the voice*.

My mind is shot.I'm puzzled on the names of these bands or artists in the videos playing in the background of this weekend entertainment update from 1989 era.

Can somebody name them out for me.Thanks in advance.

Notice the typo in Morton Downey Jr's name.

Later that year they probably mention Stevie's OSOTM tour dates in the area.

Has anybody figure this out.List the bands in the background video in this video clip.

Thanks.

I can never forget the routine by the Irish comedian Ed Byrne about her song Ironic.

Way too much music to listen to...and not enough time.

I've been listening to the entire Siouxsie & The Banshees catalogue on shuffle today.

Oh...let's see...spent this weekend listening to:

LOTS of Harry Nilsson (mainly his post-Pussy Cats albums...from '75-'80)

Letting my inner Rastafari out & immersed myself for a couple of hours in Bob Marley & The Wailers

But, most of all, myself...since I was trying out effects pedals at a couple of music stores. Working on building a new pedalboard.

Played Madonna's Rebel Heart twice through today. Damn, it's a good album. As usual, there are a few tracks I cold do without (I'm really so very tired of the wanna-be R&B sound that pervades the radio).

Standout tracks, in my opinion:

Ghost Town
Joan of Arc
Body Shop (seriously cute)
Inside Out
Veni Vidi Vici

Been listening to Use Your Illusions II for the past couple of days. That end run of 'So Fine', 'Estranged', 'You Could Be Mine, and 'Dont Cry' is just out of this world.
Heard rumours the 'classic' Guns n Roses line up might reform. I'm not sure- Axle Rose has become a big, bloated, chunky old man. Why spoil the great legacy?
