Hold Me and As Long As You Follow, two of the very best songs ever!

Hold Me is on my top 5 FM songs, too much about it is perfect.

Brown Eyes and As Long As You Follow

Both are gorgeous songs... one about lust, one about love! I'll always cite Brown Eyes are the pinnacle of Fleetwood Mac... and As Long As You Follow tugs at my heart strings the way that very few songs do

Aaaarggh. REALLY difficult.

I went with Brown Eyes and Little Lies though, I think both show Christine at her best, in two remarkably different ways.

Default 'Say You Love Me, Sugar Daddy'

Interesting poll, but my 2 choices aren't here- 'Isn't It Midnight' and oh yes, 'Sugar Daddy'. 'IIM' was Christine's moment to get her 'rock a little' on, and 'SD' with her sly, crisply British lyrics didn't strain being so clever as to overwhelm the song.*
* No offense to the superlative writing talent of Joni Mitchell, but compare JM's 'Raised On Robbery' to CM's 'Sugar Daddy'- Both are similar in being fun; slightly naughty, bawdy-girl songs with a wink, but CM's song takes the "less is more" approach.
I like 'Raised On Robbery' a lot, but JM's ego and talent slam all of the (excellent) innuendo at you with such force, that the good fun of the track is a tad crowded by the in your face intelligence of the lyric.
Christine gave us a lighter but still very fun variation of the 'bird out to roll ya' theme without JM's 'I have a PhD in lyric writing' 'tude.
I think CM is more fun than JM.
I love 'Sugar Daddy's' light touches- the horn honks, door slam, lovely laugh at the end and a very hooky melody with room to breathe . It's a peak into Christine's fun, deadpan side. I think many fans overlook the song because it's not typical of CM's writing. So, for this poll, I'll vote for 'Say You Love Me' as I consider the melody of it to be a kissing cousin of 'Sugar Daddy'.
'Say You Love Me, Sugar Daddy!'
--PS In the lengthy instrumental solo towards the middle of 'IIM' it is possible to sing or mix parts of 'I Can't Wait' into it and have it fit and sound good!

That's good, Silver Springs! I only picked one, so our two glitches will almost even the score out to the thread-starters specs. I think.

Everyone please remember to keep it to only 2 choices! I know it's hard to choose only 2, but we want it to stay fair.

Well voting seems to be going fairly well. Like holidayroad said, please just nominate(vote) for 2 songs.

Also, check out Christine's nominations on the Pre-Rumours forum.

We'll check back in tomorrow!
