Arrow DISCUSSION: Other Lindsey songs not already considered

Okay, Ledgies time to nominate up to 10 songs for a poll. The songs must be Fleetwood Mac songs written/performed by Lindsey. Songs from greatest hits, B-sides, new songs from a live record are eligible.

No demos, no solo recordings, no songs from Buckingham Nicks album.

vivfox, all those songs you listed have already been done in previous polls. We're looking for his FM songs that weren't on the official studio albums. Songs from greatest hits, B-sides, Live recordings of new songs are eligible.

I nominate these:

Down Endless Street
Book Of Miracles
You & I, Part 1
Cool Water
Goodbye Angel
Teen Beat
Make Me A Mask
Bleed To Love Her
(the live version, but the studio version will probably be included in Say You Will, so never mind)
My Little Demon
(if they aren't included for The Dance)

D'oh! Of course... "Goodbye Angel," perhaps my favorite Lindsey song of all time. This could have been the great Lindsey single from Mirage, not the cloyingly retro "Oh Diane."

So far we have eligible...
1. You & I Part 1
2. Down Endless Street
3. Cool Water
4. Make Me a Mask
5. My Little Demon
6. Goodbye Angel
7. Teen Beat

No sure about...
"Book of Miracles" since its an instrumental.

"Oh Well" since it is Peter song, yet Lindsey interpretation on a official FM release

"Bleed to Love Her" - 2 versions; the Dance version and the Say You Will version ; similiar to "Silver Springs", with 2 fairly different versions of the songs.

I think "Oh Well" should be included. After all, wasn't "Blue Letter" included in the White Album round? That song wasn't written by Lindsey either. If Lindsey covered a Britney Spears song on a studio album, wouldn't that be up for inclusion? It's the same thing... Oh, and speaking of songs nobody wrote, what shall we do with "Kiss and Run" from the Tusk Deluxe edition?

If you are not including "Book of Miracles" because it's an instrumental, then you may as well cut "Teen Beat" as well since it doesn't contain any words. And "Albatross" should be cut from any other rounds as well for the same reason.

Oh, and what about "Doesn't Anything Last" from the Rumours Deluxe Edition bonus disc?

I'm with ya except for "Oh Well'. Then we'd need to include Billy & Rick's version since it was the B-side of the "As Long As You Follow" single.

Exclamation Update

"Oh Well" isn't eligible.

I'll add "Book of Miracles", "Kiss and Run", and "Doesn't Anything Last."

"Bleed to Love Her" is on the Say You Will discussion/poll.

So now the updated list is...

1. You & I Part 1
2. Down Endless Street
3. Cool Water
4. Make Me a Mask
5. My Little Demon
6. Goodbye Angel
7. Teen Beat
8. Book of Miracles
9. Kiss and Run
10. Doesn't Anything Last

Looks like 10 songs...

Add one, remove one?

yeah if we count Lindsey's version of "Oh Well" then we'll need to count any other versions. i.e. Billy and Ricks. It makes things more complicated that what they need to be. I've already done enough of that!!

Besides "Oh Well" won favorite Then Play On song, so its moving on in the battle, anyway.

Although...once this is over and you've had time to relax. It would be fun to have a "Battle of the live "Oh Well"s".

Live from Boston Tea Party 1970 (Peter Green & Danny Kirwan)
Live from Seattle 1972 (Bob Welch & Danny Kirwan) 1972
Live from LA Record Plant (Bob Welch) 1974
Live from Trod Nossel Studio (early Lindsey Buckingham) 1975
Live from St Louis 1980 (mid Lindsey Buckingham)
Live from Oakland 1982 (last Lindsey Buckingham)
Live from San Francisco 1987 (Billy Burnette & Rick Vito)
Live from Chicago 1994 (Billy Burnette & Bekka Bramlett w/ Dave Mason)
Live from ?? 2008 (the return of Lindsey Buckingham)
