23rd July 2011, Amy Winehouse was found dead at her north London home, she was 27. The troubled singer had a long battle with drink and drugs which overshadowed her recent musical career. I've got to get some of her vinyl albums.

It's very sad that she's gone.

I thought her cover of The Shirelles 1960 classic 'Will You Love Me Tomorrow' was great. She had a unique and beautiful voice. I think she would have had a great career. Such a shame that she died before her time. RIP Amy, and thank you for the music you left us with.

I can't believe she has been gone for 5 years! If anyone here has never listened to her albums, I can't encourage you enough to do so. She had a fantastic voice, her backing band totally rocked, and her lyrics run from hilarious to heartbreaking. Everyone always talks about her voice and her unparalleled harmonizing; but she really really shone brightest as a lyricist to me. I definitely hate we didn't get to hear more from her before her untimely passing.
