I wasn't ever going to publish this live recording because unfortunately, the sound quality lacks Stevie's voice (a mike got turned around during performance) so I apologize for that, but isn't it better to hear her at this time than not at all? (Please refer to the lyrics below.) Lindsey Buckingham (bass) does background vocals as well as Javier Pacheco (B-3 organ), with Brian Kane (guitar) and Bob Aguirre (drums). Recorded live at Aragon High School, San Mateo, CA 1969. Slide Show, Pachecure PRODUCT OF THE TIMES (Javier Pacheco) We're making the same mistakes, we're not the leaders of a line we've only made outside changes, we've hardly even moved the time. And now it might sound real crazy, but we're a product of the times. It's hard to rearrange, so hard to change a frame of mind. But nothing stays the same. And it doesn't take much to be blind. Those who stay the same, become a product of the time I'm not trying to make you love me. Not trying to fit you to my style. If you'd only understand me, I'd feel better all the while. We can explore each other, and find the meaning of the child. People are starving, oh, can't you hear the baby cry, People are dying, oh, . . can't you hear the baby crying. Doesn't matter where you came from, doesn't matter who you are. if you can't find love around you, you haven't traveled very far. Oh, the last thing we can sing about, is where, oh where, ...do you start? Product of the times, ... Product of the times.

Circa a week ago Javier Pacheco posted some Fritz material again:
The Fritz Rabyne Memorial Band (Fritz) performs a Javier Pacheco composition performed @ Aragon High School, San Mateo, CA (1970); opening for The Youngbloods. Stevie Nicks (lead vocal); Lindsey Buckingham (bass/background vocals); Javier Pacheco (keyboards/background vocals); Brian Kane (lead guitar); Bob Aguirre (Drums). The Power (Javier Pacheco) When I saw Jesus, I was so long involved in my own little selfish games, of yes I was! After I saw Jesus, and the light shined in, I knew my life would never be the same. The Power! I could not believe! The Power Nobody could believe, When they nailed Him, down to that cross! The Power! That you bring, The Power! Love is the only thing that can save us, save us, save us, let it save us! Don't let it go down the drain, Don't let it go down-wow--wow, Don't let it go down the drain, Don't let it go down--wow. Don't let it go down the drain, Don't let it go down-wow--wow, Don't let it go down the drain, Don't let it go down--...down. When you see Jesus, There'll be a smile on your face, And a feeling, that time can't erase, oh let 'em try! After you see Jesus, you let that light shine on in, You know your life will never be, . . . the same, Never be the same, it will never be the same, It will never be the same, It will never be the same, It will never, . . . be the . . . same! I seem to recall reading in 1991 that Stevie had re-recorded “Silver Springs” with the band Venice. This has never been confirmed by Stevie or Venice so I don’t know if it occurred or not.

PS I'm assuming the Christine track mentioned earlier on - "I Believe, I Believe" - is "Where We Belong"?

Lindsey Buckingham: Time Ago (Javier Pacheco) with Stevie Nicks
Stevie Nicks: Next Time Around (Javier Pacheco) w/Lindsey Buckingham Following the breakup of Fritz, around Spring of 1971, Stevie and Lindsey came over for an afternoon visit to my home in Menlo Park. It turned out to be a very enjoyable and creative time for the three of us! I shared some material I had written, and they were gracious enough to help me out with the vocals and guitar. We recorded this song on a commercial Sony reel-to-reel Recorder, with Linds as engineer, using "Sound-on-Sound" to overdub our voices and instrumental parts. I am very grateful to Stevie and Lindsey for their ideas and contributions, proud of Stevie's inspired vocal and Lindsey's creative guitar work on this sweet, melancholy tune. Thanks, S&L!! Next Time Around (Javier Pacheco 1971) We’ll be waiting across the border there won’t be time to hold on, or show the way to the others Next Time Around Next Time Around Friendship Gardens Australia fairs bring your sense of awareness if you plan to be there, Next Time Around Next Time Around Oh, God knows when the final changes will come and wash us like the tides a wild stampede of creatures fleeing with the coming of the Ides And the glory, I tried in vain you can tell your story, it will sound the same, when we were proud when we were proud; You can leave me or you can love me you don’t need to hold on you don’t have to feel sorry Next Time Around Next Time Around Oh, God knows when the final changes will come and wash us like the tides a wild stampede of creatures fleeing with the coming of the Ides We’ll be waiting across the border there won’t be time to hold on, or show the way to the others Next Time Around Next Time Around Stevie Nicks: You There (Buffalo Springfield) Fritz Fritz Rabyne Memorial Band at Fremont High School, Sunnyvale, CA circa 1969.
