Default Peter Green - "A Mind To Give Up Living" - The Blues of Despair and Salvation

I rarely post things I see in various blogs but thought this blog entry from last fall (from a blog called "stranger than known") was pretty well-written and perceptive.

Yes it is a good overview, but a little too brief...

There is a ton more good stuff out there on the subject too...

As the article suggests, I think this is Peter's tour-de-force when he laid-out some of the best BB King style licks ever played. This song was his head-cuttin' call-out to Blues guitarists everywhere. The playing on this song in particular was not only sublime, it was as soulful, thoughtful, and as tasteful an illustration of emotionally charged phrasing while employing the Occam's Razor of less-is-more perfection as you will hear when it comes to holding and maintaining the climax of the orgasmic nature of a perfectly done Blues!

This is the song that gave BB King "the cold sweats!"
