It made sense with Billy and Dave, but I think Bekka would be out of place with Lindsey and Christine.

I'd rather see Billy and Rick do a Peter Green-era tribute set. I'm

She is STILL an amazing singer, and still f*cking gorgeous!!! I've spoken with her in Nashville a couple of times, and she's funny and (seems) down to Earth. My friend is a producer, though, and says she's an egomaniac. I guess when you're that talented, you know it!

I know I probably told you in other forums, but Bekka went up with Dave Mason(opening for Journey this past summer), and did a few songs. She has ALWAYS amazed me. Such a gifted vocalist. A natural.

I thought it was just Christine that didn't like Dave? Are you certain?

Mick: 'I should have known my vision for this endeavour was flawed when it became clear that Dave Mason and Bekka Bramlett did not get along whatsoever. I though they would, as Dave had worked a great deal with her parents, Delaney and Bonnie. Bekka had known Dave since she was a kid and I imagined there would be a real chemistry between them, because he had been around their house, probably singing songs with her parents as she looked on, like some big, happy musical family. Apparantly not. That tour was heavy on free flowing substances of all kinds, which didnt help matters, but still, there was a real bas blood between them. I was a wreck and drinking and carrying on, but as the tour wore on I found myself having to play mediator for them almost every day. I completely misread what I thought would be a quaint and historically perfect collaboration. Bekka had no time for any kind of connective, band-family stuff on the road at all, and like her mum she did not mince her words. Believe me, you don't want to have Bekka or Bonnie Bramlett unload on you, but that is what started happening to Mason regularly' |

How about having Rick Vito sit in as a backup guitarist / backing vocalist? He's played with Mick recently in Mick's blues band. I don't think there is any bad blood with him and other members of the band, but correct me if I'm wrong about that. (I have no clue about who gets along with whom in this band. I basically just like the music.)
