I just noticed that part that he did not mention John. I wonder if he has spoken to John

I wonder if anyone has spoken to John since 2014.

perhaps. though she sure hung onto his arm during that CBS interview.

I rewatched Destiny Rules the other night. Very instructive to rewatch it in light of these 2017-2018 events.

As evidenced in that documentary, the FM machine these days is ruled by Stevie, Mick and the various managers and promoters etc.

When Lindsey saw that his attempts to make the 2018 FM tour more than just a Classic East/West rehash was failing, and that Stevie insisted on three days between each date, he must have made his own demand that he at least be able to do some 'small machine' shows between each FM date, to balance out the sour taste of dedicating countless months of his life to the static FM machine. And because MusiCares was the deadline for the band's negotiations in terms of the promoters etc., Stevie and Mick opted to use Lindsey's bargaining ultimatum as an excuse to just drop him altogether, thereby making Stevie "happy" to enjoy her own, Lindsey-free world for the next ten years. And then the misguided 'strategy' on the part of the managers etc. was to impose a radio silence against Lindsey (so that the likes of Christine would not start having second thoughts), and to let their biggest bullsh#tter, Mick, do the bulk of the band's gaslighty PR.

Edit: What is clear from Destiny Rules is that they can be wavering about a difficult decision for years and only "resolve" it (through fights, ultimatums, and threats of breakup) at the eleventh hour. Since this current tour was supposedly planned years in advance, that dysfunctional MO is the reason why everything came right down to the wire around MusiCares. Basically, everyone placates Lindsey's preferences with vague assurances until the last minute, at which point Stevie spits the dummy and the corporate FM machine puts its foot down.

As for John being talked into the 'drop Lindsey' scheme--John would agree to anything to shut Mick up.

Hmmm. I just looked up how far away Canton Ohio is and it’s only 4 hours from me. Just inside what I’d be willing to drive for any Mac related show. I’m already goin to Tonawanda for sure but I’m also considering going to Canton too to meet Elle and Steve (my fellow lover of consistency! )

I was sad that Christine was included in that.

Since she can no longer sing or play the keyboards it begs the question of why he would even bother to call the crone in the first place

Well, just like OGB, they can sell more seats combined, rather than divided.

Even a man with principles will make concessions.

SteveMacD is going to be there, too, along with you? And now Hawkeye is thinking about going? Ok, I'm in! Thanks for the invite!

Now my question is, what's the best way to buy my ticket? Should I just stick to my plan of buying a really good ticket from a scalper the day of the show, or is that too risky? The last concert I was at, I had 2 tickets, and in front of the venue I traded my 2 tickets in row 8 for 1 front row center ticket. Should I try the same thing here? Also, is it too late to get a copy of Lindsey's album with my ticket purchase? Thanks a lot for any advice, I really appreciate it.

great!

i'd look at venue site first, but i do think most of the great tix upfront are gone right now. if you buy from the venue or from TM you will get CD with the purchase. if you buy from scalpers you won't. i'd keep checking with the venue just in case there are some close to the show drops. if there aren't you always will have the scalper route as the last resort.

here's the venue site - you can hover over different sections to see whether there are tickets left in the particular section and then click on sections with tickets to see where they are - like i said, you never know with venues like this one there might be late drops -https://cantonpalacetheatre.ticketforce.com/ordertickets.asp?p=606

the beauty about buying directly from the venue is also that you avoid exorbitant TM fees.

I just ordered my ticket from the venue- thank you so much for all the great tips! I didn't see anything about the CD but that's ok if I don't get a copy. I also bought a parking pass, just to be safe. My ticket is basically the best one I could get, which was section B, row X LOL! Which is a good sign that sales are going well but I'm definitely going to try to upgrade when I get there. I hate that the money I spend to upgrade will go to a scalper rather than the artist, though.

Oh I'm just waitin' on the countdown now!

go bwboy!

re CD, in about a week or so (sometimes longer, but it will get there) you should get an email (usually from "lindsey buckingham" if from the venue, or from TM if you bought through TM) that will instruct you to pick between a CD or a download and give them info where to send it.
