Yeah right!!!! Just like they did for Bob Welch, who was infinitely more important to the history of the band!

Maybe it's a result of my age (born at the end of the first year of said decade), I knew the song Don't Dream it's Over and could probably have sung along to it for most of my life (at least since it's release), but I never knew who sang it until this whole "we fired Lindsey" thing happened. |

1) The put it in the middle of the set and half the audience shrugs and goes to take a leak or get more beer and it gets yanked out of the set after a few shows or 2) They play it as the first song (a la 197-...6?) and half the audience shrugs but sits there with blank stares and it gets yanked out of the set after a few shows The band ignored it's own past for so long that by now the vast majority of what has been cultivated as a Fleetwood Mac audience in 2018 doesn't even realize or care that there was other singers than Stevie, Chris, and he who shall not be named. I highly doubt they'd have the balls to keep a song in their set long term where they get no audience reaction or half of them use it as a beer run. Springsteen they are not. |

The one interesting thing about this tour is going to be how much gets "yanked out" after the first few shows. I actually think the set list for this mini tour could move around a bit--they are going to try to dig into their gothic trunk of lost songs, which I actually think is cool--but the jukebox generation that is paying up for this isn't going to recognize the old stuff (pre S&L) and stuff will get dropped and rejiggered. I for one don't think they should sing any of Lindsey's songs. I know Mick thinks you need to end the show with GYOW, but it will just call out the elephant in the room. I am sure they will keep it--but they shouldn't. And I am sure Mick Fleetwood's all-star band will add DDIO and TPH tunes- I also think Songbird will come and go throughout the tour, depending on the strength of Christine's voice (similar to OWTS--although I believe then the issue was a hand injury and she couldn't play piano?) |

of course, Stevie is adamant that Station Man is a Christine song and has apparently never heard of Danny Kirwan.

Their history suggests otherwise. They kept Peter Green songs in the set that were from long out of print albums and not available on CD in America at the time during the 1987-88 and 1990 tours. The songs they are talking about are not nearly as obscure.

SN would always drop her songs that are more obscure as the tour would go on - like her new songs on SYW tour, or Without You on 2013 tour, or Seven Wonders on OWTS tour. since i have to assume none of the pre-BN era songs will be performed primarily by SN, it is possible they won't be dropped.

Not if they do 4 $tevie Nick$ solo songs, especially the long, drawn out ones. Throw in a couple Crowded House songs, and a couple Petty songs, and....."Lindsey WHO?"

I don’t think Stevie wants to sing more than her 6-8 songs. That said, I think they will do five old Mac songs, 1-2 CH songs, 1-2 TPATH songs, and SDMHA.

Again, though, they didn’t yank songs like “I Loved Another Woman” or “Stop Messin’ Round” and those hadn’t been in-print in America since the mid-1970s, so I don’t know why people are expecting anything different on this tour.

Well that was still decades ago and things could have changed. Their audience has certainly changed. But either way if they're gonna drop any songs as the tour progresses it will probably be a group agreement based on crowd reaction.

Did Stevie drop songs on her last tour?
