Default Anyone hear about this? Prince covers The Chain live

Even though this apparently happened last month I don't think I've read anything about it here.
It seems Prince covered the Mac classic The Chain but added new lyrics at a show in New York.

Anyone know anything more? Is this something he's done at more than one show?
I'd be very interested to hear the Purple One's interpretation.

I don't know, I like Prince but don't know if I'd like his version of Chain. I even didn't like his version of Nothing compares 2 u (and this is his song, but Sinnead version is beautiful)

I didn't know that. I'd love to hear it.

I was watching Prince tear up "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" from Harrisons RNRHOF induction tonight. Very slick indeed. Its available to watch in the downloads section on Harrisons official site if anyone is interested.

Thats how to cover a George Harrison song Lindsey... Take note!

Now that is a tribute to George...

Prince totally ruled it... But great work by Jeff Lynne, Dhani Harrison, Steve Winwood and Tom Petty on vocals..

Dhani looked awestuck when Prince nailed Claptons solo.

Dhani looks so much like George that its scary. I was very impressed, though. They all maintained their styles without turning it into a certian someone's Here Comes The Sun.

Prince doing The Chain? Cool, but surreal.

My goodness!!! I've just seen this clip (and it's not one of my fav songs, I have to admit) but geez it was fabulous I've been quite impressed with Prince as a guitarist, since seeing him at last years Brits, and this just adds more to it. Excellent job, showey without being embaressing.Unlike some others here though, I do think George would have enjoyed Lindseys rendition of "sun" he was a Pisces and we do like the underdog and the unusual, so I'm only guessing he may have felt the same way.
Finally...it looks like I'm a total cradle snatcher....but how gorgeous is Dhani He even looks like a certain Ledgie I know actually (christy, don't 'cha think?)
