regarding EP, this is what Lindsey sad before Sad Angel yesterday:
"we're gonna be dropping an EP, very soon, probably next week, online, and then maybe later as a physical piece of product" (vivfox pasted this vid in the Chicago thread http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=E-o74jf2DMQ)

Sad Angel is a single. I wish it was going on an extended Buckingham/Nicks album though. They sound great together on that song and its full of energy. Reminds me I Don't Wanna Know.

Quote: While she is still publicly promoting the "In Your Dreams" documentary with Dave Sterwat and saying what a great time she had making the record with him, that personally she has become less thrilled with working with him again and is more open to having Lindsey produce a Mac album.
This doesn't seem right to me. She's doing an awful lot for this documentary, even with Fleetwood Mac in full swing. To still be doing Q&As, with Dave no less, would imply she hasn't lost her fondness for the whole thing. And what would the reason be if she has? I might take this with a grain of salt, unless more details emerge. |

I found the conversation very interesting, a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes. The NYT review from Unleashed, in particular, was something I knew about and had read prior to the 4-8 show at MSG. It was very critical, calling their act stale and it actually had me worried going in that the show would be disappointing, the band only a shell of their former selves. So reading that Stevie was concerned about their New York show was intriguing and I'm glad the Times was much more favorable this time around, and definitely caught onto the energy exuding from the band in the Garden.
Yeah, the little tidbit on what Stevie might really think about Dave Stewart was rather funny. Not sure if I buy that--maybe that's Lindsey's view of Stevie's album, since the person who had backstage access did say they were overhearing Lindsey's conversation. And we all know Lindsey has expressed a little aggravation in Stevie taking so much time promoting In Your Dreams. I do think she should put it behind her soon and focus on new music, written specifically for the concept of a new Mac album (no double albums please). The oval lighting pieces have been very effective in terms of staging and lighting for some of the songs, especially for I'm So Afraid. I hope they don't ditch them. And I thought Say Goodbye was a very good closer. I might have preferred hearing Crystal, but Lindsey's great guitar work in a song that features both singers was a great choice--the version being much stronger than the sped-up track on Say You Will. It's definitely the kind of song you want to leave an audience with as they leave the arena. Last edited by bethelblues; 04-14-2013 at 02:39 PM.. |

She didn't like some of his songs on Tusk. She may have said so, but she didn't try to stop him. I never got the impression that he did anything musically that she felt the need to rein in. Was she afraid to say no to him? No. Did she ever have cause? I've no reason to think she did. She might have changed what he did on her songs or failed to take his suggestions, but I don't think she was reining him in on his or Stevie's. Instead, I remember interviews where she said that she respected them all so much that she supported them and followed their ideas even when they were WRONG and I think she specifically meant Lindsey there. I find it hard to believe. Lindsey may think that, but I don't think it's true of Stevie. And no matter what happened in recent weeks, I don't think she can ever get the memory of the "best time of my life" recording process out of her head.

Even in 2003 Lindsey was introducing Say Goodbye as an "old" tune that had finally found it's time. Now, he thinks it was written in 2003.
