Default Bill O'Reilly

The New Yorker published a "look" at Bill O'Reilly:

http://www.newyorker.com/fact/conten.../060327fa_fact

I had no idea there was a feud between him & Keith Olbermann.

Yup - Olbermann calls B.O. on his crap, almost nightly. And B.O. started an online petition to have Phil Donahue replace Keith, which was promptly flooded with pro-Keith signees and which Keith (and all the Countdown & MSNBC employees available in the building) signed on-air!

That's why I whipped up this:

And Crooks & Liars has most of the feuding video on their site, if you're really interested: http://www.crooksandliars.com

Also, he just surpassed CNN in his show's ratings, and is closing on B.O. (who's lost 40% of his viewers - hopefully they've wised up & aren't just tuning in to American Idol instead...).

I'm not trying to neccecarily take sides here, but Keith Olbermann is every bit as annoying, if not more so, than Mr O'Reilly, at least the way I see it.

I don't watch either of them. I just hear O'Reilley's rediculous statements replayed on Stephanie Miller's "Right Wing World".

I'm terrible at remembering details but one of his latest was that if someone said about him what they said about the president he would lay them out. This someone happened to be an older woman! He's big on the tough guy shtick.

I wonder if he knew that when he said it. I would hope not.

It was about Helen Thomas who is 82. I'm just laughing re-listening to it from Steph's website. You can hear it here http://www.stephaniemiller.com/show/ It's the Right Wing World link under March 28th and the segment begins at 2:50. He really is a self-parody. I think this link will start the dowload http://www.stephaniemiller.com/bits/2006_0328_rww.mp3

i read that article a few weeks ago. it actually made me want to watch him and see if my perception of him is unfounded.

(except that i live in canada, and don't get FOX. uh, which is a pretty okay thing that i'm quite okay with)

Olbermann's show is great... sometimes almost as funny as the Daily Show... check it out if you get a chance. BTW, I'm in love with Stephanie Miller!
