I think that STARDOM was always her love. IT came first. No man could take the place of that dream.

And she's just so full of herself now, and wrapped up in it, that it's too late now. That's her life.

Which is sad, at the end of the game.

Yes, this.
A balanced, intelligent and quite fair description of her life and headspace right now. Thank you
She is very far removed from reality now and no one is capable of bringing her back. Lindsey may have been able to but that relationship is no longer in existence.

The perception of her, which may or may not be true is she really can do nothing for herself and without her entourage. I think it's likely security for her to have them all around her, but as such, she probably is sheltered in some way from reality (probably isn't even aware of all of the backlash coming their way) It's kind of sad really.

Could be. I think as years went by, it was harder to please her. And not just by Lindsey but by everybody. The difference is the rest of them can hide their annoyance better than him.

I think she wasted her whole romantic life hoping they'd get back together.

Yes, well, that was I was trying to say when I talked about how she stayed with Lindsey not because she loved him but because it was her ticket to fame.

It's sad, yes, but I don't care. Lindsey's not in a nice place right now and it's all because of her. At least she did this to herself.

Her yes-people do a very good job indeed, but I don't think she's unaware of what's going on. She's not as dumb as we think she's.

Can you blame him? He's put up with her sh*t for what, 50 years(okay nerds, IDK when they were in high school)?

She wasted her whole romantic life, because she put it in the back seat. She's sorry now that she wasted it, but she's too set in her routine now, to fix it. She did do this to herself!

Hell, I'm amazed he hasn't killed her by now.

Meh, IDK. I think she might know, but she chooses not to see it. "Where are my yes people? Oh yeah, all.around.me."

I guess it's all about being up on that stage where thousands can adore her and tell her how great she is. But hey, she does it for us, to take away our pain for a little while. She writes for us, or at least she did, until she found out it wasn't going to make her money. I never really bought the reason that no man would ever want to be in a relationship with someone who has to go out on the road and leave them behind for months at a time. Or that a man would be jealous of her fame and fortune. There are countless other performers that are married or are in successful relationships. Could it be that Stevie is so self centered that she doesn't want to dedicate her time to being in a relationship? Her business I suppose. I just hope that dancing around in her apartment for the next ten years makes her happy.

I 100% agree she's not dumb, she's very smart. I think she's naive when it suits her and when she can hide behind Mick, Karen, Mary, Lori, Sharon, and anyone else who will tell her what she wants to hear to ensure her "brand" isn't tarnished, she will. I would argue, right now, she doesn't know how tarnished it is. I look forward to the interview, because you know it will happen, when she tries to make amends for this. It will happen,,,, it's a given.

And I don't think there was drama regarding Ray leaving. As far as I know he just didn't want to tour anymore, although he did stick around to help Lindsey out on his solo tour after that. And he gave some quotes for the Life FM magazine.
I think Ray left to go to work for Bette Midler.

I always found the whole don't own a conputer\cell phone schtick particularly irksome. I would say she's pretty sheltered. And she doesn't drive so she's dependent on others. She talked about getting her drivers license. I don't know if that came to pass.If I lived in LA I would want someone to drive me around too.

Yes, and I believe the name of the bootleg is "The Cocaine Sessions" or something like that. The song is a real stinker. No offense to Beach Boys fans. I love them, especially Brian.

In one of those talks she did for her movie a few hears ago she even said herself that she lives a sheltered life. There's an old interview of Christine back in the 80s that pretty much sums it up where she talks about Stevie and says how when she first met her, she "had her feet on the ground" but now she lives in her own world (in context she was explaining why they don't socialize anymore).
It's not necessarily always a bad thing but living that lifestyle where you're kind of just in a bubble and mostly surrounded by specific people who cater to you undoubtably has its impact over the years. It's even obvious in some things Stevie will say every now and then. One thing that stood out to me was from just a year ago when Stevie was promoting her tour and talking about how it's different with Fleetwood Mac/Lindsey because he wants rehearsals at 2 in the afternoon and she doesn't even wake up until 3 so that causes conflict between them:l. I thought that was bizarre because to most people, going into work at 2:00 is totally normal, in fact it's kind of late since most people start work in the morning. But Stevie has her own schedule and she's used to everything being structured around it in her own life.

Didn't she say it was inspired by the Lewinsky scandal? It would make sense given the time it was written. But she might've drawn from other things as well.

Yup, that quote was very telling. POOR Stevie has to go to rehearsal at 2pm. SHUT UP you whiny, entitled old brat. Stevie Nicks will always now be known as the one who killed FM's legacy. And for those of you who still dont' think it's her fault. WAKE UP.

Those who think it's not her fault will never change their mind. Ever. Unless Stevie confesses and they will still think she was coerced.
