I think we just happened to choose the same one. I did look for another, but I love this one too much!

I inherited Rumours from my musically fickle older sister in 1977. I was 11 years old. And like many new fans of the band, my sister also bought Future Games
and Mystery to Me, thinking they were going to get more of the same -- suprise!

I inherited those albums and was very intrigued by their history. I delved into their blues period many years later. In fact, I'm on a big Peter Green era streak right now; I've been listening to all of their blues stuff, and getting more familiar with it. It's a big body of work, especially when you consider all the live songs, and various compilations. So much product made in so little time.

i will never stop being amazed about how music can master your thoughts, your most valuable memories. i remember being a child, in my dad's bar, waiting for him to finish work and going home to lunch. he would play the finest albums at the time, as well as classics from the 60's and 70's. at age 5 i was obsessed with the beatles, they were the only musicians i knew. i mean, i liked the songs, but didn't know the title or the artist. when i grew old i began to recognize the tunes: if i ever lose my faith in you, sting; another day in paradise, phil collins; and thousands more. 10 years or more ago i got back songs like "little lies". i saw the video in mtv. my childhood came back to me. some years later, when i started university i was looking for another childhood song, family man, by hall and oates. but i didn't know the artist, so i download "family man", from tango in the night. i thought it was pretty good. at that time, i discovered stevie nicks. then i realized they were in the same band!! and i began to listen to them a lot. wooowww! THAT WAS THE MUSIC from my memories!! THAT WAS THE SOUND IN MY MIND! they were called Fleetwood Mac and that album i recalled, tango in the night!!! and that's my story, folks!

Default Also when Clinton left the Whitehouse?

A friend of mine just heard at a radio that Fleetwood Mac played when Clinton say goodbye to the Whitehouse. I insisted it was at the ignaugural ceremony but he told me the DJ has said (in different times) it was when they said goodbye to Clinton.

I'm 100% they played when Clinton became president. But did they played also when he left? Or the DJ is completely wrong?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that they did play a surprise fairwell concert for him.

He used to post on Bob Welch's board, too. He still may, I've just not ventured over there for awhile....

I find Bob's board difficult to navigate, as it's real old school, and kinda cluttered. Bob's the coolest host of them all, though!

Likely he was banned from there as well.He managed about 100 posts on here as "Eaglesmac " before he was discovered and booted again.Incidentally for the many newer people he is the primary reason the strike system came into being on here.

I just went to Bob's board, and there's a "SW Ranger" posting there. It has to be him.

So what's the deal with him? I don't even remember him. Must've done something heinous the way everyone is talking about him...

Well actually, I happen to have MADE the avatar, since the red bits used to be orange and it's my avatar on another forum, I just changed it here since I saw you were using something I created

And just to stay on topic, I have to say after I bought Rumours and Tango, I was amazed how many songs I actually KNEW and loved without knowing they were Fleetwood Mac. I knew Don't Stop, Seven Wonders, Everywhere and Little Lies, and I was all "Ooooh! So Fleetwood Mac made THESE songs" it amused me.
