Honestly, he's been the biggest surprise of all. We've all come to expect the stubborn staidness from Stevie... but Lindsey's long been the one trying to push the band creatively forward vs allowing it to rest on it's laurels and relying on past glory. I keep thinking the only reason he's changed is his wife must be reminding him of his need to keep his family in the lifestyle which they've become accustomed to.

Well that's what I'm saying... Lindsey keeps saying he hopes to "rectify" this issue of the band only releasing records every 80 years... but they haven't done anything. I mean sure we've gotten solo records from Lindsey and I'm grateful for that. The whole "Unleashed" thing wreaked of insincerity but then... They're gonna sell tickets regardless, right? There's no sense in releasing another album like Say You Will, though... I'd just rather see Stevie and Lindsey remain prolific in their own way than see the band suffer by releasing another convoluted album.

I wonder what might happen if they got Caillat and Dashut back onboard?

All I know is after the way Say You will was put together (2 solo albums put together..Not a band effort by any stretch) I'm not looking forward to a new album

Another item to prove my statement "Rumours killed Fleetwood Mac"

Richard Dashut Definitely needs to be back at work. I think he works very well with Stevie. It's no doubt that he and Lindsey working together would go well!

I definitely agree they shouldn't go backwards to find a producer... it's time for a fresh approach. On the other hand, I'd definitely argue Say You Will wasn't trying to relive Rumours, though. It was unlike anything they'd done before, however flawed it might have ended up being.

I never implied I wanted Rumours II. The Dashut/Caillat records are (arguably) some of the better Fleetwood Mac records.

Dashut co-produced Time. Still hang onto your claim?

Yes. I realize I've been harsh on Time over the years.
The problem with Time, frankly, is the lack of Buckingham & Nicks.

It was salvageable only because of Christine, imo.
Personally, I'd like to see Rick Rubin as producer.
