Deluxe CD minus vinyl?

It really annoys me that with the recent spate of deluxe and expanded editions you can't get the full CD edition without getting the vinyl as well it seems.

a) I haven't got a turntable

b) I like to read sleevenotes to reissues because I might learn something new

Sadly it seems the only way to get all the tracks but minus the vinyl is to download which comes at a high and fixed price.

Yeah, I can relate. If the Mirage and the Tusk deluxe re-issues were done like as you suggested, I would have bought them by now. I don't have a record player either.
