So your wedding: Stevie Nicks did the ceremony. How did that happen?
Vanessa's been friends with Stevie a long time. We were gonna run off and get married — we didn't really want to have a wedding. It's just not both of our styles. But she said, "You know there's one person who could marry us. And we could have a little wedding. Let's ask Stevie, see if she'll do it. If she doesn't want to do it, then yeah, we'll just elope." But Stevie, she was into the idea, and she got her minister card or whatever. http://www.nashvillescene.com/nashvi...ream-interview |

[Sequencing Stevie Strikes Again]
By/Lauren Moraski/CBS News/June 11, 2014, 5:26 PM http://www.cbsnews.com/news/vanessa-...amy-new-album/ Vanessa Carlton on her dreamy new album, CBS News For the first time ever, Stevie Nicks approved of the track order Vanessa Carlton created for an album. Carlton recently finished recording her fifth full-length studio release and asked her Fleetwood Mac singer pal (and recent wedding officiant) for her input. "I sent her the album and I think she really digs it," Carlton told CBS News. "She helps with each record to figure out the order of the songs. For the first time ever, she thought that the order was correct that I gave her, so that was good." |

"The mistress of song order" AKA Stevie Nicks... Stevie also sequenced Vanessa's "Heroes And Thieves" & "Rabbit's On The Run" albums... |

Stevie probably approved of the latest album sequencing because she couldn't be bothered listening to it. She's most likely too concerned with her own...

That's what I thought, too.

It interesting to note that Vanessa's new album went into Mastering 2 months ago, but it won't be available until sometime next year. Meanwhile, we're supposed to get a new Stevie album 5-6 months from now, yet it hasn't even gotten to the Mastering stage yet. Seems to confirm my suspicions of the release date being overly optimistic.
On another note, I had no idea Vanessa was only 2 years older than me. I assumed she was about 10 years older than me.

"Recorded in both Nashville, Tenn., and England, the upcoming set, called "Liberman," comes on the heels of 2011's "Rabbits on the Run." It was originally expected out this year, but Carlton had to delay its release to 2015. Though she can't say why at the moment, she promises it's a good thing." It doesn't sound like the mastering process had any bearing on the time-table for the album's release. Seems like Vanessa personally chose to delay it. |

Books and albums are often delayed months - even a year or more - just to time the release for a date where the competition is slim or the promotion is more suitable. Many video games are held back until fall/winter, because the kids are back in school and not outside playing. Anne Rice's next book is out in October, though it's been ready for months. *And* she's already finished writing yet another book, with no release date in sight.

My Guess
My guess is that she's pregnant again and not ready to announce it yet.

I can honestly see this release date for October actually happening. Stevie and 'her people' must have determined this is the most opportune time so I think they'll do all they can to achieve it. |

BDL, I think you're correct. Remember Mick's comment about how Stevie intended upon making the album quickly and that he hoped this would happen? I bet he's freaking out that if she doesn't get it issued this year, it will interfere with the Mac album - not just the potential 2015 release date, but her actual involvement.
