Default Awesome Mp3s from Mansfield

Get over to http://www.angelfire.com/moon/sister2/downloads.html and get IKINW and Red Rover etc. These mp3sdon't have the over-bassy issues of the Green Bay ones. You can really hear the guitar and, especially, the different vocals on RR (INCLUDING AWESOME VOCALS AT THE END - you will die, Christy! Well, hopefully not really - lol!)! And IKINW.... the solo has morphed from when it was played in Green Bay! It goes on for ages and includes a distorted guitar rendition of the accordion line!
Bliss.

I wasn't going to listen to the mp3's until I got back from my Texas shows, but dangit....LOL I have ZERO willpower.

Listening to IKINW now....AWESOME vocals!! "DON'T BLAME ME..." I freakin' love that part! Can't wait to sing it with him in Dallas and Houston!! Love that dude screaming "Lindsey!" at the end!!

Red Rover....*tears streaming down face* "I said RED ROVER!" I said take you OVER!" OMG.....God help me.

AAAAHHHH!!! ISA is only coming up as 3:15!!!! What happened to it?! It cuts off!!!!! HELP!!!!!! LOL

This is why Red Rover was my favorite that night.

And Stevie sounds horrid. Get off the road and take a rest already.

I've seen the show live so it's hard to say it's not coming across differently in the boots if you haven't been there. The show has great pacing live and doesn't feel slow at all. IMO the show flows very well. I've listened to a few boots from this leg and it doesn't seem slow to me. Anyone else?

I very rarely have anything negative to say about LB's guitar playing, but the solo that was played in Madison and Green Bay was...to put it bluntly....poor (IMHO). The beginning was a 1:1 copy of the EOTW solo and the rest was littered with notes that were dischording with the rhythm and bass guitars. It sounded like bad improvisation, as though he was trying to force the EOTW solo to fit this totally different song, and I can't believe that nobody said anything to him after the first night (probably too scared!lol!). I'm glad that the majority of it's been changed for the better now (playing the accordion riff is a great idea and works brilliantly!), but it would still be nice if he thought of another way to open the solo.

Yes that made me wonder too. I think Dissention mentioned that he used the ISA solo during the Murrow performance at that Soundstage show he recorded. Then this cheap EOTW copy Seteca mentions. Is our man running out of ideas at the moment? I don`t think he is limited in that way that he only can play 2 default solos. But I don`t think he uses the additional space on the shows properly if he not only copies his own speeches and gestures but even his own solos...

Hmmm... I haven't found the EOTW licks discordant with the IKINW chord structure. The songs are in related keys anyway.

Why is he using that lick though? Is he trying to tell us something about these songs? Is Eyes of the World part of the continuum of Not That Funny and I Know I'm Not Wrong?

Not that Funny: the taunt
I Know I'm Not Wrong: coming to grips
Eyes of the World: the aftermath

I probaly is the sound quality of these mp3's but I agree with whoever said Stevie needs a break, this is the worst I've heard from her, she really sounded like she was struggling, poor dear.

Yeah, the sound of her voice.

No, there was nothing wrong with the sound. She just sounded terrible.
