Stevie has never praised or commented on her fellow Mac member's solo careers. However it irked her that they did not praise her for her solo efforts. She did get asked directly about Christine's solo effort in 1985 (MTV interview) and she did not comment on the music most likely because she never played it. She just said she was happy that Christine did it.
Remember the MTV Fanatic interview (1998)when Stevie was asked her favorite Lindsey song? She could not even name one of his songs. The poor girl had to throw Stevie a life line. The Buck/Vie album definitely irked her. Its the one time that the Mac did something without her blessing.

I believe there’s a direct line between that album and the band coup. All that other stuff — East Classic and MusicCares and smirking and waltzing and solo tour scheduling — is all just stuff.

And add to that all of the previous years of contention between all five. Nothing happens in a vacuum, and the problems didn't start with Buck/McVie. It was hardly paradise before that duo.

There hasn't been contention among all 5 in almost 30 years. The acrimony precipitating Stevie's power grab was between two people, not 5.

I listen to it more than SYW. Christine still has a voice.

Two of said 5 stood by and witnessed a murder, without doing anything. They might as well have pulled the trigger themselves.

Mick wasn’t arguing with them. He was trying to negotiate a compromise between Stevie and Lindsey.

IMO...two things changed the course of history...for the band.
1) Christine’s return. 2) the Buckvie album. I think without Christine’s return the remaining four would have still been together. (Lindsey enjoyed Christine being back, they had a musical connection) much to Stevie’s annoyance.. And the Album just compounded Stevie’s simmering anger. Who knows how long it had been on the back boiler!! |

My guess would be roughly 42-43 years. $he holds a grudge like nobody's business.

I don't, BUT I have one of the Buck Vie record store thick plastic thingamabobs(I can't remember what they're called)
that they put in the lighted case to showcase a new album. Probably 30"x30". I've meant to build a lighted box for it since I got it, but have never gotten around to building it. I stalked this record store guy for about a week, until he was finally willing to let it go. $5! Bidding starts at $500! I was mad at spineless Christine for allowing him to get fired, so that's part of the reason I never got around to building the showcase for it.
