Thumbs up Rock Away Blind - Appreciation Thread

Holy Smokes that is on another level.

Love it right to the very end.
End Solo is amazing and in the solo it has the same bass line as bleed to love her , if anyone hadnt noticed already.

andthat crazy little solo at 3.26 to finish just knocked me down. Whaer did he pull that one from.

it is at least 93 times better than what I thought it would be

10/10 I listened to it ALL DAY !!!!!

Keep em comming Lindsey, Can wait to see my postman on Tuesday.

The little solo at the end kind of has the feel of Don't Look Down too.

Sounds amazing! I need a lyrics sheet though - he swallows a couple of words and I want to know all of them!

This reminds me in ways of Bel Air Rain. (Hey... Bel Air Rain vs. Rock Away Blind! Yes, I'm going... )

The end of this video has it.

It's a great song. It just blows me away. I can't wait for the whole album!

Nah nah nah, i see why you might compare the two but this is much better and ends so much better for average joe who is listening.

It will be all right with me, but I will feel very disappointed for you guitarists if Lindsey doesn't play this one live.

"It's beautiful, but it seems to be missing something. Like he purposely leaves a void. That void is Stevie and Christine. It's like every song is a guilt trip." -- my bff on "Rock Away Blind"

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Gorgeous... probably my favorite Lindsey acoustic song of all time (I think Bel Air Rain has been knocked off it's throne! ). I'm kinda starting to see what Stevie has said about Lindsey taking some "serious chill pills for this album." Everything I've heard from it thus far has just been deeply beautiful.

It also sounds like a sequel to Great Day. Wonder what distinguishes "great day" from "good day"...

ETA: I can't really compare it to Bel Air Rain, even though I understand the comparison. Bel Air Rain gives me such a different emotion. Currently, Rock Away Blind has me on the edge of tears. Plus I need to hear it directly (without radio buffer), because Bel Air Rain is astonishingly well-produced (best produced track on GOS--along with MAYBE Underground).

Oh, same here. I was laying on the couch just now blasting the song through my earbuds with my eyes closed, and I was grinning from ear to ear. Then when that gorgeous, intricate solo starts heating up at the end, it was definitely making me a bit misty too. Just hearing this song makes me so proud to be a Mac fan. Listening to Lindsey's solo work makes me feel more in tune as a human being- it's intelligent, thought provoking, and substantive. This song is everything that is great about Lindsey Buckingham and Fleetwood Mac.

Thankfully that won't be on the album version! It's my only problem with the track (bar some editing faux pas by Lindsey) and it's not anything to do with him.

From the Ego Traipsing Blog posted by "G" on March 11, 2014

http://egotraipsing.blogspot.com/201...y-lindsey.html

I heard this for the first time a few minutes ago; woke up from a dream and needed to expel some energy. I kept expecting a heavy drum beat to kick in, but I think the genius of this song is that it allows you to imagine the backing instruments yourself.
