I love that one too. Is there an actual studio version of it somewhere? I have a demo, but it's a little fuzzy.

There are a couple of really great quality studio outtakes of "Gold And Braid," from the master tapes. In fact, Amber just posted one of them (as well as an acapella version) in her "For David/Me and Stevie/Improvapalooza" thread on the Stevie Forum.
I still prefer the live version from the 'In Concert' video and 'Enchanted' though.

Right now, I'm listening to:
Madonna - "Get Together" (Jacques Lu Cont Mix)

Bought these at Tower yesterday so these are what I'm listening to today:

1. Symphony No. 2 & Piano Concert No. 3 - Leningrad Philharmonic/Vienna Symphony, Kurt Sanderling, Sviatoslav Richter on piano - Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft. Excellent sound on these two major performances.

2. Violin Concerto, Romances Nos. 1 & 2 - Vienna Philharmonic/Philharmonia Orchestra, Constantin Silvestri, John Pritchard, Yehudi Menuhin soloist - EMI Classics.

3. Liszt Piano Transcriptions of Symphony No. 5 & First Mov't of Symphony No. 6 - Glenn Gould Edition - Sony Classical. Unfortunately, Gould never recorded all the symphony transcriptions, but Leslie Howard & others did.

4. Symphonies Nos. 5 & 6 - Vienna Philharmonic, Wilhelm Furtwangler - EMI Classics. Glorious, old-school interpretations; sound cleaned up somewhat.

I own so few classical recordings... I really need to correct that.

Strange "he must be nuts" story: my grandmother had a compilation LP of classical music pieces, which I used to listen to as a kid (laying on the floor in front of her large turntable, with headphones on), and I always got acute feelings of claustrophobia when one piece played.
For the life of me, I can't remember which it was.

Exclamation I have alot of...

classical music releases on both CD & audio cassette, My favorite being Rachmaninov's "The Isle of the Dead" (Love funeral dirge's)

Also have several digital radio channels on Sirius to blast when the urge hits (Sound great coming throught the 5.1 system in the living room).

my favorite part of red rocks
when stevie chats with her dove
"would you like to say something to your audience"
"she loves you she told me"
