I like the comment about Stevie attempting to play Rhiannon on her Enchanted box set. It's so God awful.

I hope you get this message because I really enjoy these segments and you are so funny. You always have me laughing. Besides knowing your Mac history, you are very funny about it.
You guys missed a major point about Landslide. Landslide was always a major staple of Mac concerts from the first tour before the White Album was released to the Tusk tour. It was the hold up the lighter song that Stevie would dedicate to the audience. It also was a staple on rock stations. It was never released as a single (pre-Dance) but was like the Gold Dust Woman of the album. It was known as a song by the band that got airplay. Stevie stated that at the end of the long Tusk tour that she was "Landslided" and was tired of the song. Even in 1980 she introduced the song as "old." Besides the short Mirage tour, the song was never played through the multiple solo and Mac tours of the mid to late 80s. For the BTM tour, Stevie dug it out and told the audience after almost a decade not being performed it was time to put it back in the set. It was performed in 1990 with the Mac and on her extremely short Timespace tour. Both those tours were not huge draws so many did not get to experience Landslide again. When the Dance happened, Lindsey was back on guitar and it felt like an experience from the 1970s. It made it so much more special. If the song had not been shelved for a decade especially after being a Mac concert staple, I dont think the Dance Landslide would have been as special. It almost felt like a new song again.

Thanks again for these videos and for sticking up for Sugar Daddy. The White album is special because you can hear classic Mac song/sounds like Sugar Daddy or Warm Ways. Either of them could have appeared on Mystery To Me or Heroes. You also get Buck/Nicks sound on Landslide, Monday Morning, and Crystal. Yet you also get songs like Say You Love Me, I'm So Afraid, and Over My Head, and Rhiannon that are the mix of both sounds. It showcases the organic beginnings of the band's sound that would go on to make Rumours.

They did fair. I saw the Farewell tour leg and the Pittsburgh Civic arena had about 8,500 people in it. The entire overhang balcony was empty as well as the far back of the arena. I felt embarrassed for the band that they could see that. Many people in 1990 were over Fleetwood Mac especially with a flop album. the tour had so many dates so of course it was financially successful especially in Europe and Australia. But people were not waiting in lines to see Fleetwood Mac in 1990. The Stevie herd was there but it was probably the most dismal showing in American cities post Rumours. Stevie's solo tour that was at the same arena just one year prior had thousands more people in attendance and the balcony was full. In 1987 the same arena was pretty much sold out. Fleetwood Mac was a dying band in 1990. The economy was slowing down and about to head into a recession too which always hurts ticket sales. Thats all I meant.

I remember it being a huge draw. I almost couldn't get tickets for the Cleveland show. And it was packed full. The lines (yes we waited in line or called Ticketmaster with a busy signal back then) were around the corner at the record store that was selling them. It was crazy.

I’d say the Capital Music Center near Columbus, probably a 20K amphitheater, was at least 90%+ full, and that was in late June, before Christine’s dad died.

Incidentally, the setlist on setlists.fm is completely wrong.

I am not saying the tour was a flop like the album (in the States). Maybe I should rephrase. True or False? Did the previous 1987 tour sell more tickets per stop? True

Also....For the first time (1990) Stevie's solo career was eclipsing Mac attendance or equaling it. Even though her solo career was also running out of steam. Facts are facts. Fleetwood Mac was a dying band in 1990 and Stevie was able to fill an arena bigger than the band at least the previous year. Her concert attendance would crash the following year in 1991. It was the early 1990s and you had to go back to the late 80s for a hit. The Stevie troops kept them afloat in concert thus performing her songs.
