Mick Fleetwood to perform rare concert on MauiThe Maui Celebrity Series to host a massive Lahaina New Years celebration

– Legendary rock musician Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac will make a rare concert appearance as part of the hot concert series known as “The Maui Celebrity Series” in Lahaina on the island of Maui on Thursday, December 30th, 2010. The concert will also feature Rick Vito.

The Maui Celebrity Series is now also being developed as a nationally broadcast concert series for television.

Comedians Tom Arnold, Cheech Marin, and Nermin Zajic will appear, along with a special appearance by series creator Brian Evans, the young crooner who opens for the likes of Jay Leno in Las Vegas.

Mick Fleetwood, one of the biggest musical names in show business, follows MOS DEF, David Spade, Rob Schneider, and other superstars that have already graced the stage at The Maui Theatre in Lahaina, known for it’s ‘Ulalena production show.
With only 680 seats, the evening before New Years Eve will undoubtedly be the hottest spot on Maui, if not the state.
“Not in recent memory will Maui see so many stars on stage on the same night, and there will be special guests you truly won’t believe,” says Evans.

The Maui Celebrity Series began in 2009 when Evans jetted in William Shatner as his first special guest.

“Maui has truly needed something like this,” says Evans. The concert series is now so popular, that even Expedia.com now sells tickets to the concert series in it’s activity section of their website for people planning trips to Maui during the dates of their concerts. The Governor of Hawaii issued Commendations to all of the producers of the concert series, citing the exposure it’s bringing the state during tough economic times. “December 30th is the day to mark on your calendar if your coming to Hawaii,” says Evans. “We already have people emailing us as far away as New Zealand.”
