That is a good thing, by the way.

DListed is a catty gossip site, and it has paid tribute to Christine by making her Hot Slut of the Day. Most of the comments that people left were nice.

OMG i saw that today!!!!!!! i was afraid to let anyone know because then i'd have to own up to the fact that i do, indeed, read dlisted on a daily basis. they had her listed on the birthdays on the 12th and lots of people left nice messages about her then as well. christine is so loved that even the gossip mongers worship her!

That one with Don Henley was funny. And, I like that ITM picture, even if she does look a bit like J.K. Rowling.

I think Chris would get a hoot out of knowing that she was the "hot slut of the day".

Personally I think it's very disrespectful.

I really don't like the word slut - I don't know if it has the same connotations in the US but over here it is not a nice word.

It reminds me of some of the dodgy emails I have been receiving at work with links to sites you don't really want to look at

i agree that the word itself is disrespectful, but if you read that guy's site, it's about as mild as sunny day compared to how he describes paris hilton! and strange as it sounds, it really is a position of uh, 'honour' on dlisted. the webmaster never names anyone he hates as hot slut of the day.

The problem is all inside my head!

I just associate slut with porn and I don't want to associate Christine with porn.

Well, it is disrespectful, but that's the world we now live in.

I think it would be worse if she had kids/grandkids, etc...
I think she'd laugh at it, though.("cool, they're still calling me a hottie!")

true, true, it is the world we live in, sadly enough. it's almost like everything on that whole site is so disrespectful that it's drained the meaning out of the word "slut". when i read it on dlisted, i associate it with "person" (because he calls guys sluts too LOL) rather than "promiscuous".

actually i remember stevie being the hot slut a few months back, so it's about time christine was nominated!

I don't like the word "slut" either. But if you read all the comments, most of them are surprisingly very nice and many are even quite respectful. I was actually expecting that there would be some pretty nasty things considering the words "hot slut". Knowing Christine's sense of humor, I think she'd get a kick out of it. I even tried to find her birthday comments, but I couldn't find them in the archives.

the comments get deleted after a few weeks. i guess there's not enough space to keep them in the archives. but from what i remember, they were pretty much along the same vein as the comments posted now, very complementary and respectful of her talent.

I posted about that in my LJ. Definitely could've used a better picture; there were nicer ones from the ITM shoot. Oh, well. I think it's funny, and Chris would probably shoot a Hobnob across the room from laughing so hard if she saw it.
