Pray to the commercial gods?? Seriously, Janet, I have friends that live in Atlantic City during the summer and gamble. They got comped SEVEN seats for The Eagles. It's really tough to score good seats in AC because of the comps that are given out UNLESS the people don't use them, in which case the day of the show sometimes seats turn up. Otherwise, there are brokers that already are listing seats, including places like Stubhub.com The other thing is to be constantly watching the website.

That's what I thought. Oh well. At least I get to see him twice...just not close.

I agree with Tango.
Sometimes, you just get lucky, but with Atlantic City, it's pretty rare.
I'm rather compulsive about the shows I want to attend. I've been known to check ticketmaster daily, several dozen times a day, until the day of the show.

And, sometimes...something pops up. And, sometimes, it never does and you see these lovely front row seats EMPTY on the day of the show.

It's a crapshoot (I swear these gambling puns were unintentional!)

Hey, Janet.
And just how many tickets do you have lined up for the X-files movie?
I'm going tomorrow and staying for two shows. I'm too chicken to do the midnight thing and go home after, but first thing tomorrow morning...I'm there.
Very exciting day!

I'm on my way in a few hours. I realize I could get murdered on my way home at 2 a.m. in the morning, but, um . . . If I do make it back safely, it will be fun to go to sleep with them in my head, as I did on so many Sunday nights years ago.

You are my new hero, Michele.

Have a great time (and, of course, make it home safely to have those sweet dreams).

#1: Do not sleep through the beginning of presales.
#2: Even if your "Ticketmaster words" are stark absurdity, you probably won't get front row.
#3: Between now and October, become a high roller at Trump Casinos.

It's a shame because AC is an easy place to get a hotel and air package for a reasonable price, if you wanted to come from out of state, but if you can't get a decent seat, it's a missed opportunity. The Indian reservation casino shows are the same, only they aren't as accessible as AC.

Has anyone had more luck in person with AC tickets? I'm going to be in AC next weekend for the American Idols tour and can easily stop in the Taj to see what they have available. I was on vacation and totally missed the pre-sale, oops! I'll probably just see what they have in person or maybe wait to week of, since I already have my NYC tickets. Guess I'll see!

If you can get there just before the show, that's probably when you'll have the best opportunity to snag a good seat that a gambler has decided they won't be using.

I just got Row M center for this via Ticketmaster, which I am pleased with, if not slightly concerned that the tickets have been on sale for more than a week (a bit less for the public) and you can still get the front center section? Maybe that means nothing. Either way, excited! Especially since I couldn't buy them in person this weekend (or couldn't find where to, at least, certainly not the theatre!).

Well, I've been away long. But I couldn't resist telling you that I will be there too, section 103 row L, so close to you guys!. I'd love to meet up before the show somewhere. Who's in?

I fly over from the netherlands for four shows: Reading, Atlantic City, Northampton and Ridgefield. Who else is coming?

Gerald
